Chapter 14

I rushed into the room and laid back down on the bed, staring at the ceiling. How did I get myself into this? I was visibly
shaken.
1 stretched out my hand to grab my phone from the bedside table. I quickly sent a text to the only person I could talk to right now. I need to talk to you. When can we meet?
What happened to you? I’ve been blowing up your phone girl! Why didn’t you let me know you were going to quit? I feel betrayed! I gave a sad smile as I read Isabella’s text, before sending another text.
I’ll explain everything soon. Are you up for lunch?
Count me in! Gotta go now, see you later girl.
I kept my phone down on the bed and sighed heavily.
Now it all made sense. I didn’t think much of it when I realized that my period was late. I just thought it was because of the stress from the past few weeks.
But how the fuck did Guilia know though? Isn’t it too early to even discern these things? Surely she must be mistaken.
Suddenly, as if in response, my stomach groans. I cover my mouth feeling nauseous. I rose and rushed to the bathroom. I let my body take control and I empty my stomach into the toilet.
I threw up a few more times, completely emptying my stomach of the delicious breakfast I just had. Just then, Leonardo
walks in.
“Are you okay?” He says, kneeling beside me. He gathers my hair at the bottom of my head into a makeshift pony.
My eyes were watery and my face was a little whiter than normal. I ignored him as I pulled my hair away from his grip, stood up, and flushed the toilet.
I hated, hated, hated him for doing this to me! I can’t be carrying a killer’s baby! No!
I knew I still needed to take a pregnancy test to be sure but at this point, there was no doubt in my
mind.
It was as if my body was just waiting for someone to point it out before it started giving me the signs.
“I’m okay.” I clipped. “Do you mind if I go back to my room and rest?” I asked although I didn’t wait for his answer as I walked past him into the room.
But of course, he immediately followed me to the room. “You know, technically, it’s my room.” He blurted out.
“Well, then, I’d get out of your way.”
“Alessia-”
“Don’t you dare call my name!” I screamed.
“Where the fuck were you? You kept me here like a prisoner and left my brother as the guard?”

Chapter 14
After the shocking revelation I just got from Russo, I took a deep breath and made my way up to my room where I’m guessing she still was.
I opened the door to my room and found the bed empty, Weirdly, my heart jumps out in fear.
But just then, I heard retching noises coming from the toilet and I made my way towards it. I found her heaving inside it and 1 quickly made my way to her and gathered her vanilla and rose–scented hair into my hands, trying to comfort her.
I felt her stiffen at my touch but remained quiet, totally ignoring me. She Qushed the toilet and walked out.
“I need to go to my room and rest if you don’t mind.” She said, walking out. I immediately followed her out.
“You know, technically, it’s my room.”
“Well, then I’d get out of your way.” “Alessia-”
“Don’t you dare call my name! Where the fuck were you? You kept me here like a prisoner with my brother as a guard over
me?”
I was a bit taken aback by her outburst.
“I had some important business to take care of,” I replied coolly. I mean how was I supposed to go on about saying I’ve been torturing her supposed boyfriend nearly all through the night?
“What does that even mean? You were out killing some individual again right?”
I walk towards her, leaning against the desk close to her.
“It’s not important,” I whispered. “What’s important is that baby you’re carrying for me.”
Before I knew it, she landed a hot slap on my cheek and I clenched my fists in anger.
“There’s no baby!” She retorted. “And even if there was, I’m not keeping it.” She said, spinning around to walk out of the
room.
“Like hell, you aren’t!” I yelled as I grabbed her hand and pinned her back around to face me.
“You wanna know what I’ve been doing all night so bad? Well, let’s just say that sick fuck of a boyfriend of yours would not be bothering you again.” I confess.
“What do you mean? Don’t tell me you- you-” Her voice broke but I already knew what she was trying to ask.
“No, I didn’t kill him.” I was so glad at that moment that I didn’t because all of a sudden, I didn’t want to appear like a killer anymore with her.
She looked tired when I grabbed her in my arms for a hug. I stay silent, letting her take her time. She took a huge breath as she broke off the hug, still not looking at me.
I uh…I should go. I’m meeting up with Isabella for lunch. There’s no point explaining to you who Isabella is because I’m pretty sure you know everything about my life right now.” She quipped, sarcastically.
I clench my jaw.
“True. But to answer your question, you’re not going anywhere until you’ve healed properly and until I’m sure you still don’t have that twisted idea to get rid of my baby.”

She looked visibly pissed as she stared at me.
“It wasn’t a question. I’m meeting up with Isabella. End of story.” I smirk. “Still no.”
Her brows lifted in a frown and she turned around to leave. She walked a single step before I grabbed her arm again and pulled her back but this time, to the bed.
“You realize that this is kidnapping right?” She sits on the bed in front of me.
I leaned over by the bedside table, smirking.
“Call it whatever you want, anymore. Doesn’t change the fact that you’re staying here.”
“So what, you’re just gonna keep me trapped here?”
“Yes and no,” I replied. She lifts her eyebrows, confused. “You can leave, but only in the company of either me or Russo. Or until I’m sure you’re no longer hell–bent on ‘taking care‘ of your current situation.” I nod towards her stomach.
“You bastard!”
“Whatever you say, anymore.” I walked towards the door to leave. I opened the door and stopped to say something.
“But let me know if you change your mind about that,” I smirked.
“Monster!” She yelled.
I walked out the door with a smile on my face.
