I laughed bitterly in anger.
Clapping sarcastically, I praised Howard.
“You may not have progressed much over the years, but your ability to shift blame and avoid responsibility has certainly reached perfection.”

He snorted, wiping the blood from his forehead, and turned to face the cameras, playing the victim.
“My wife just said Wendy had no gentleness, but that’s just to save face.”
“At home, she’s a madwoman–always ready to hit people at the slightest provocation.”

The fresh scars on his body added somene credibility to his words.
The public opinion began to shift in his favor
But thankfully, I had anticipated this. I pressed a button on the remote in my hand.
The large screen, which had been showing images of Howard and Lily’s sweet love, suddenly shifted.
The screen began showing scenes of Howard’s behavior at home.
It was him who had the violent temper, him who had yelled at people, and most disturbingly, him who had struck others.

The people who had criticized me a moment ago were now silent.
Howard, seeing the footage, went insane, screaming and rushing toward the screen, trying to turn it off.
But it was too late. The projector had already been switched to my control.
Realizing this, Howard’s eyes turned red with rage, and he stormed over to face me.
He reached out in fury, cursing, “Wendy, do you have to ruin me completely?”
The person I once loved most in the world was now my enemy.
It would be a lie to say that it didn’t hurt.
