Bucky’s gaze was sharp as a knife.
“How dare you think you could deceive my lady? Sending her invitations to a wedding while treating her like this–what exactly are you trying to accomplish? It’s a blessing that the master and madam were wise enough to send me along, or who knows what schemes you would have pulled off!”
The faces of those around him drained of color, especially Charles, Tracy, and the wealthy second–generation men who had been so quick to mock me.
Charles, unable to hide his disbelief, stepped forward, his voice trembling. “Vicky, you’re… the heir to the wealthiest family?”

Bucky, his tone sharp as a blade, retorted, “Charles, show some respect. In this
moment, she should be addressed as Miss. Winston, not someone you can talk down to.”
Everyone quickly apologized, but Christopher wore a playful smirk.
“Speaking of status, this is quite the issue!”
“Bucky, before you arrived, these people tried to kick Miss Winston out. But that’s not even the worst of it–they publicly humiliated her, throwing water on her, exposing her in front of everyone. And the worst part? Ms. Davis even orchestrated an assault.”
“Unbelievable! These people must face the consequences!”
Christopher pointed out a few individuals, and Bucky immediately pulled out his phone.

I stepped forward and slapped her hard.
“This slap is for what you did to me earlier!”
I followed with another slap. “And this one is for the insults, for calling me lowly–tell me, Tracy, how am I lowly?”
“It’s just a man. If you want him, take him. I don’t care at all!”
Charles finally came to his senses, his face betraying his uncontrollable joy.
“Vicky, you really are the daughter of the richest family? That’s great…”
