Olivia wasn’t sure either. She shook her head. “I don’t know, but we can’t just let her keep doing this
When faced with a crisis, the priority was to resolve it. Therefore, Olivia turned to Sheila and said, “I’m going to call your uncle first”
Taking her phone, Olivia stepped out onto the balcony. “Patrick, I need your help with something. Yes, it’s for Sheila’s recognition banquet
“The target is Lindsey. Make sure you go all out–no mercy. The harsher, the better. I want her to never be able to show her face again.”
Patrick was Olivia’s younger brother and currently the deputy general manager at Laminova.
Though he held the title of deputy general manager, Patrick was far from competent. He did line actual work, spending his days loafing around the office, nitpicking, and stirring up trouble–his only real talents.

Olivia gripped her phone tightly, her eyes reddening. “Lindsey makes me uneasy now. If it weren’t for her, my fake pregnancy wouldn’t have been exposed, and your grandfather wouldn’t have canceled the wedding.
“I can’t just let this side. I’ll ruin her reputation, destroy her life so completely that she’ll never dare face anyone again” A fierce, vengeful glint flashed in Olivia’s eyes.
Sheila was startled, she had never seen Olivia like this before.
Suddenly, Olivia grabbed Sheila’s shoulders. “Sheila, you’re going to be the Riley family’s only daughter in the future. Everything Lindsey has now will be yours. That includes Jayden”
Sheila froze. She had secretly admired Jayden for a long time, but Jayden had never given her, Anthony’s bastard child, a second glance
But now, she was about to gain the means to change everything.
The night before the recognition party, Sheila knocked on Lindsey’s door, holding a jewelry box in her hands.
“Lindsey, aren’t you going to invite me in?” Sheila asked cautiously, her tone both nervous and ingratiating.
Lindsey nodded and stepped aside to let her in. However, as her gaze swept over Sheila, she keenly caught a fleeting look of pity in Sheila’s eyes.
She had a good idea of why Sheila was here.
“Lindvry, from now on, you’ll be my sister. I know I’ve upset you in the past. I’ve been spoiled and willful, but I promise I won’t be like that anymore,” Sheila said sincerely.
“Here, I picked this out for you at the mall today, Consider it my way of making amends Shella opened the jewelry box, revealing a sparkling diamond necklace. Under the light, it shimmered brilliandy, almost blindingly so.
Lindsey glanced at the necklace and seemed unable to look away. She exclaimed in admiration, “Wow, it’s gorgeous”
Realizing she might have overreacted, Lindsey cleared her throat and adjusted her demeanor. “Good taste,” she added, giving a small nod of approval
Sheila beamed with delight. Tm so glad you like it”
Without hesitation, she placed the diamond necklace into Lindsey’s hands. “From now on, I’ll be counting on you to look out for me.”
Lindsey, acting like a money–grubber, smiled as she accepted the necklace, “You really didn’t have to go through all this trouble?
As soon as Sheila stepped out of Lindsey’s room, her expression turned ice–cold. She had already laid the groundwork to ensure Lindsey would make a fool of herself.
The next morning, Lindsey was rudely awakened by Donna hanging on her door.
“Mr. Riley, Lindsey isn’t even up yet. Last night, I got up for a drink and saw her sneaking back home around I am. Who knows what she was up to in the middle of the night” Donna said.
Anthony’s face darkened immediately. He let out a cold snort. “What else could she be doing? Probably out fooling around. Does she not know

what day it is! I can’t believe she’s this reckles
“What are you standing there for? Go get the spare key and open the door for me.”
Lindsey rubbed her bleary eyes and yawned as she opened the door herself. “No need for that I’m getting ready now. Don’t worry, Dad, I won’t embarrass you today”
With that, she turned around, but there was a chilling coldness in her expression.
Early that morning, makeup performers and stylists arrived at the Riley residence, tussing over Sheila.
Sheila was not ugly, but she had an air of pettiness about her and looked like a mean girl. Still, with a little effort, she could transform into a modest beauty.
Today, she wore a deep V–neck gown in pastel yellow. The neckline prominently displayed her cleavage, while the intentionally raised waistline cleverly concealed her short proportions.
Sheila twirled twice in front of the full–length mirror, clearly pleased with her appearance. She sent Olivia a text: [Mom. I’m ready.)
Downstairs, Matt glanced around, clearly displeased with the scene. In fact, he was reluctant to come initially
“Shawn, what’s going on? Why are we even at such a cheap party? Not a single person here could blend into our circle” Dragging Shawn along. Man wandered around the venue and complained about everything.
Suddenly, he leaned closer to Shawn’s car and asked, “I heard this is some kind of recognition banquet for a girl. Don’t tell me you’re here for her.”
As he spoke, he gave Shawn a cheeky wink.
Shawn ignored his wink and replied coolly, “I am here for a girl,”
Matt was genuinely shocked. He hadn’t expected the usually aloof Shawn to finally show interest in someone.
He wanted to press funher, but Shawn shot him a frosty glance that immediately silenced him.
Suddenly, the lights in the hall went out. The bost’s voice rang out at just the right moment, “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the star of today’s even–Ms. Sheila Jennings
Hearing the name, Matt burst out laughing unabashedly. “Sheila Jennings‘ That’s her name! I’ve got to admit, the mystery’s pretty well done.
As his voice trailed off, a spotlight illuminated the top of the staircase. Under its glow, a delicate silhouette emerged, descending the steps slowly,
Man rubbed his chin, scrutinizing Sheila with a frown. “Well, Shawn, you’re not telling me this is the girl you’re interested in, are you?
“If you really want a woman, I can introduce you to someone. This one’s not ugly, sure, but–well, let’s just say, you two don’t seem like a match.”
Matt, who had seen countless beauties, continued to stare at Sheila on stage. In his eyes, Sheila’s face and body were both unremarkable, and she didn’t even seem to be beautiful on the inside. She was, in his opinion, utterly unexceptional.
Shawn said nothing
Matt’s imagination began to run wild, and as he speculated further, he shook his head repeatedly.
“Thank you all for taking the time out of your busy schedules, to attend my daughter’s recognition banquet,” Anthony began his speech. “Sheila may not have grown up by my side, but she’s always been my preasure.
“She’s exceptionally well–behaved, and her education has never fallen short…
As Anthony spoke politely on stage, the guests below began exchanging compliments.
“Sheila is such a pretty girl, isn’t she? So graceful and elegant. I hear she’s also incredibly talented, especially in jewelry design. A rare find.”
“Is that so? No wonder Mr. Riley calls her his preasure. If I had a daughter like that, I’d cherish her just as much. His older daughter’s a disappointment, so he has to pin his hopes on this one.”
Hearing this, someone nearby became curious and asked, “What about the older daughter! What’s wrong with Lindsey?”
“Lary and gluttonous, apparently. I overheard their housekeeper say she’s also quite the party animal-
