Book 2 Go Away! Disgusting Ex–Husband And Ungrateful
Son
The day I finalized the divorce, I booked a train ticket back to my hometown.
My phone, ID card, and a bank card with little balance–these were all I had after all these
years.
The housekeeper called to tell me there were still some of my belongings left to be moved.
“Just throw them away. I don’t want them.”
He added that the young master was asking to see his mother.
“He’ll soon have a new mother, the one he’s

always longed for
The son I gave birth to truly resembled his father.
Even the woman they loves was the same.
In the past, I would have felt hurt, wondering why that person couldn’t have been me.
But now, I thought, if he didn’t love me, then so be it–it is what it was.
Before the train departed, I said my final words into the phone.
“Tell him not to worry. I will never disturb him again, not in this lifetime”
After saying those final words, I turned off my phone and switched the SIM card.

From then on, this city had no more
connection to me.
The little girl sitting next to me looked about the same age as my son, with big round eyes, cautiously watching me.
I used to love children.
But now, I didn’t like anything at all.
The little girl was quiet, sitting still the entire journey, while her parents were loud, arguing and shouting on the phone the whole time.
I put on my headphones and closed my eyes, trying to rest.
I didn’t know how long it was before someone gently tugged at my sleeve.
I opened my eyes and looked at her.

The little girl pressed her lips together. “Auntie, my mom’s gone. Can you help me find her?”
The seat by the aisle, once occupied, was now empty.
I didn’t know what had happened, so I immediately called the conductor and the police on board.
After an investigation, we found out that the little girl’s mother had gotten off the train midway.
Before she left, she had walked away, glancing back repeatedly, as though afraid the little girl would follow.
In other words, the little girl had been abandoned.

The cabin was filled with noise, passengers gossiping without restraint, speaking openly in front of the little girl, saying her mother was heartless, and how pitiful she was.
The little girl remained quietly seated, not moving, not crying, not causing a fuss.
I thought for a moment, then showed my identification to the conductor and left my family address and contact details.
So, when I got off the train,
Along with my phone, ID, and a bank card with little balance,
And one more thing-
A child.

I officially settled down in my hometown.
The overgrown little yard, I cleared and tended to, planting fruits, vegetables, and melons.
I framed my grandmother’s portrait of the deceased and hung it in the center of the living room.
I gave the little girl a name–Sarah Morgan.
I completed all the procedures and registered her under my household. From then on, my household register was no longer a solitary page.
Sarah never smiled, always keeping a serious expression, watching me with a stern gaze.
She understood everything, so mature for

her age. Despite being only four, on the days
I was sick, she would stand on a stool to cook porridge for me.
I thought of my own child,
The young master of the Wells family, George Wells-
The boy who, when he wanted to go skiing, would receive an entire ski resort as a gift, and when he craved candy, would get an entire candy factory.
They were so different.
Sarah asked me why I had adopted her.
She was just a burden.
I stroked her head and answered,

from now on?”
She stared at me for a long time, then nodded vigorously.
“Alright, I’ll stay with you for the rest of my life.”
Days passed by, one after another.
Sarah started kindergarten.
Sarah entered elementary school.
Sarah became class president.
And then, Sarah got into a fight.
I was quite surprised when I received the teacher’s call.

Sarah was such a well–behaved, obedient child. She had a mature temperament, and not only did she never get into fights with her classmates, she didn’t even spare them a glance.
In her words, they were just too childish.
I rushed to the school.
The teacher greeted me at the school gate, and when she saw me, her face showed helplessness.
“The child who fought with Sarah is a new transfer student.”
“Why did they fight?” I just needed to know this.
The teacher looked at me with a slightly strange expression.

“What did you say?” My steps faltered
“Sarah has a photo of you and her in her pencil case, the teacher explained. “George Wells saw it and said… he said Sarah was shameless, trying to steal his mom.”
I fell silent, quietly following the teacher’s steps.
When we reached the office, the door opened, and the teacher glanced back at me. “By the way, George’s father is already here.

corner. Seeing she seemed fine, I sighed in relief.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw the little boy who was throwing a tantrum. His eyes lit up when he saw me, and he started running toward me with his short legs.
“Mom!”
I bent down and caught George Wells,
Not embracing him, but gently pushing him
away.
“Little one, you’ve mistaken me for someone else,” I said with a slight smile, meeting the man’s gaze across the room. “Hello, sir. I’m Sarah Morgan’s mother.”
I never expected to see Daniel Wells again.

The world is vast, and if you don’t want to meet someone, you simply won’t.
George Wells was crying loudly, blaming me for not wanting him.
Sarah gripped her pen tightly, and I could tell she was getting a little annoyed.
Daniel Wells stared at me in silence.
I knew he was waiting for my reaction.
“Sarah,” I said, helping her pack her bag. “Can you go back first?”
Sarah nodded firmly, slung her bag over her shoulder, and walked away without a second glance.
The moment she left, George Wells quickly wiped away his tears and came running

back, hugging my leg.
“Mom, please don’t be mad, okay? I know I was wrong!”
I bent down, smiling as I ruffled his hair.
Then I looked up at Daniel Wells. “Mr. Wells, can we talk privately?”
