I’m trying my hardest to ignore the throbbing in my arm. Russo cleared his throat and I turned my attention to him. He leans back in his chair, shaking his head
“Why her? We both know the deal with my father is off.” His nose wrinkled in my direction.

Russo’s eyes became heavier by the second. For a moment, I feel bad and guilty. But I still want Alessia and that changes nothing in this.

“You don’t understand. We brought you here so you could be well protected and hidden. Do you think it’s safe to do this? You’ll be a target if anybody finds out.”

Chapter 90
It’s been two days since Russo walked in on me a
in on me and Leonardo. He hasn’t spoken to me since and a part of me was expecting it. I didn’t warn to speak to him either, not after the crazy way he acted.
Shooting Leonardo? That’s all shades of fucked up even for him.
The house has been incredibly lonely ever since though, I didn’t tell Isabella about the incident because knowing her, shed abandon whatever it was that she was doing and hop on the next flight back to me. I didn’t want to be that person to draw her away from family. I doubt Russo told her anything because she would’ve been here either way.
Leonardo has been busying himself with the business. I just hope and d pray that they work through their differences

“Can we head over to Leonardo’s house?” I asked Dante as I stood up from the sofa.
He glances over his shoulder and holds his hands behind his back. “You have an appointment?”
I raised an eyebrow. “An appointment? Do I need an appointment to see my brother?”

I rolled my eyes. “Just take me there, Dante. I don’t want any more questions”
He grumbles something under his breath. It’s obvious we’re not fond of each other but we don’t have to be.
We get in my Range Rover car along with two other guards tailing us from behind. The journey is silent and I stare out of the window, psyching myself up for what I’m going to say.
Dante pulled up outside the house and I got out of the car, walking past the gate and by the guards who checked me over. I forgot how tight the security was here. I got out of the elevator with Dante following closely behind me.
As I reached the door, I knocked but I didn’t get any response.
