Lily was well–informed. The night after Ethan came to my place, she showed up at my doorstep the next day.
I was brushing my teeth, my mouth full of foam. “What, is my house some kind of tourist attraction? Worth a visit for both husband and wife?”
“I was cleaning yesterday and found some of your things you didn’t take. I was passing by, so I brought them over,” she said, placing the bag at my feet.
What she called my things were just some worthless junk.
“The trash can is downstairs. Take it with you when you leave.”
Lily remained calm. I hadn’t given her a warm welcome from the start, but she still maintained a gentle and caring demeanor.
“Your name is Natalie. I heard from Ethan about how you two met, how he saved you when you were trying to jump into the sea.” Lily smiled, her body leaning slightly towards me. “He said he kept you by his side because you reminded him of me.”
The overwhelming scent of her perfume gave me a headache.
“We’re nothing alike. I’m much prettier than you.”
I snorted, not wanting to waste any more words on her.
“Natalie, I’m pregnant, she said, her hand resting on her belly, a victorious smile on her face.
She had come to show off.
“So? Do I need to congratulate you?” I spat out the toothpaste foam and wiped my mouth with a towel.
She probably hadn’t expected me to be so calm. The smile on her face froze. “Aren’t you angry?”
“I’m not a balloon pump. Where would I get so much anger from? Since you’re pregnant, hurry home and rest. Be careful not to bump or knock into anything and end up with false joy.”
I reached out to close the door, but Lily quickly grabbed my wrist, her nails digging into my flesh.
“I texted Ethan before I came. He’s on his way here. Who do you think he cares about more, you or me?”
As she said this, her expression became grotesque and terrifying,

The sound of leather shoes coming up the stairs echoed from below. My heart skipped a beat as I guessed what Lily was planning to do.
Just as I was about to reach out to pull Lily, she had already let go of my hand and was falling towards the staircase.
She tumbled down the stairs, and at that moment, Ethan witnessed the whole scene.
“Ethan, my belly, my belly hurts so much,” Lily moaned in pain, clutching her stomach on the ground.
Ethan panicked and held her in his arms, his hands
ep as
he dialed for an ambulance.
Bright red blood flowed from between Lily’s legs.
This child was no longer viable.
“Natalie! You’ve gone too far! Do you really have to destroy Lily?” Ethan roared at me, his eyes bloodshot, looking like a wild beast ready to tear me apart at any moment.
The situation was like when Zhen Huan miscarried and was falsely accused by the Empress. I was the wrongly accused Ulanara Chen Natalie who couldn’t defend herself.
Before I could speak, Lily weakly said, “Don’t blame Natalie. I accidentally fell. It has nothing to do with her. It’s my fault, Ethan. I didn’t protect our child well.”
“Don’t talk. The ambulance will be here soon. Everything will be fine. You and the baby will be fine.”
The ambulance arrived quickly. Due to the urgency of the situation, Ethan didn’t confront me on the
spot.
I looked at the blood stains left on the ground, then turned to the hidden camera in the corner.
Times have changed, and I have the latest technology.
Even if there were a thousand moons to testify, they couldn’t falsely accuse me.
I sat on the sofa, repeatedly watching the playback. When I bought the camera, I paid extra for the clearest image and
The video captured everything clearly.
I was satisfied with the clip I had extracted and sent it to an unknown number.
“This fall has cost the Liu family their flesh and blood.”
The child in Lily’s womb didn’t survive in the end.
I wasn’t surprised. I knew from the beginning that Lily never intended to keep this child.
Because that child wasn’t Ethan’s.
