“Hello, sir, it’s Fiona.”
The person on the other end chuckled upon hearing my voice.
“Fiona? Why are you calling now?”
“Sir, there’s a situation I need to report.”
I briefly explained how Adeline was forcing me to divorce my husband at the reunion.
As soon as I finished, I heard the sound of a glass shattering from the other end.
“Who’s bold enough to force you into divorce?”
Adeline grabbed the phone.
“Listen up, I don’t care what your relationship with Fiona is, I want her husband, and no one can stop me.”
“You’d better mind your own business, or you’ll end up in trouble too!”
The leader paused for a few seconds before speaking.

“Are you the one forcing Fiona to divorce?”
Adeline, still unaware of who was on the other end, was as arrogant as ever.
“That’s right, it’s me.”
“Look around New York, anything Adeline wants, she gets.”
“A man is nothing; he’s mine, who can stop me?”
After saying that, she tossed the phone to the ground and stomped on it several times.
It was my first time witnessing such audacity.
“Now that you’ve made the call, fulfill your promise.”
Logan, holding Adeline with one hand, handed me a divorce agreement with the other.
“I’ve got all the paperwork ready, just sign.”
Looking at the stack of documents on the table confirmed my suspicions.
Logan had been cheating for a while.
Facing someone like him, I had no mercy.
I signed my name without hesitation and handed it back.
Logan looked at me in surprise.
“Fiona, what does this mean?”
I looked up at him with a cold tone.
“What? Isn’t this what you wanted all along?”
“Now I’ve granted your wish, signed and stamped, and you’re blaming me?”
“Sign it quickly, before Adeline loses interest in you too.”
Logan’s face turned red with anger.
“Fine! I’ll sign, as if I’d miss you!”
He immediately signed the divorce papers.
Thus, our five–year marriage finally ended.
I signed my name without a second thought and handed the papers back to him.
Logan looked at me, eyes wide. “Fiona, what are you doing?”
I met his gaze, my voice icy. “What do you mean? Wasn’t it you who wanted this divorce from the beginning?”
“Now I’ve given you what you wanted–signed the papers and left my fingerprint–and you’re still blaming me.”
“Just sign it already, so Adeline doesn’t leave you too.”
Logan flushed with anger. “Fine! I’ll sign it. It’s not like I care about you!”
He signed the divorce agreement without hesitation. Our five–year marriage was finally over.
Watching him sign, I felt no regret, only a weight lifted off my shoulders.

“I’ve signed the papers, and now you’re free. Can I leave?”
“Hold on!” Adeline blocked my way, grinning maliciously.
“Now that the two of you are done, it’s time for us.”
