But the road was a bit bumpy. Peter enjoyed the thrill, but he worried that Hope, like
other girls, might get out of the car dazed. How could he help his father recover if she couldn’t even handle the ride?
Hope yawned nonchalantly. “I’m not scared. You drive.”
Hope had no surprise that Mr. Hester would be returning home for treatment. It was both more private and convenient.
However, the journey was indeed long, and Hope gradually started to feel drowsy.
Peter drove at top speed, and when he noticed there were no screams, he turned to check–Hope had actually fallen asleep!
Once again, he was stunned. When the car finally stopped, he immediately woke her up.
