Yvonne shook her head and said in a soft voice, “Just have it.”
She stood on her tiptoes and tried her best to hold the water higher, saying as if she was wheedling. “Please.”
Her actions were so strenuous that her face turned red.
Lillian immediately took the water and rubbed Yvonne’s hair with a smile. “Thank you, Ms. Adler”
