The flashlight shone on the cement road behind them, and many animals crawled over as if they were possessed.
It was a chaotic scene, far beyond what could be described as merely shocking.

The malicious look in Kelvin’s eyes faded as he said in a low voice, “Head up the mountain.”
There were animals on the mountain too, but because it was near the church, the measures to drive them away were better. so there were fewer wild creatures.
On the way up the mountain, Yvonne leaned against the window and looked out at the road through the glass.
She saw many cat–like creatures rushing towards the place they had just left.
She clenched her small hands nervously. “Daddy, there are so many animals!”
Kelvin stayed focused on driving, responding with a nod.
He glanced at the rearview mirror and saw the confused and frightened expression on her face.
It seemed that she did not know that these animals were attracted by her,
The front car honked all the way to drive the animals away. When they reached the church, they almost woke up everyone inside.
Two people from the church were supporting an elderly person at the entrance.
Kelvin carried Yvonne down and walked among the bodyguards.
“Sorry to disturb your rest,” he said. “We encountered some issues and need to stay here for a while.”
The elderly person bowed his head and had one of the people guide them inside.
The church was large, with red walls and green tiles, preserving its ancient charm to a great extent.
A young man from the church showed them to a few clean rooms…
After the young man left, Kelvin placed on a chair, patted the fluffy coat to remove the dust, and wrapped it around Yvonne again.
The room was lit with warm–toned lights, and in the soft light, Kelvin could see that Yvonne’s face had become much rosier compared to before. It glowed under the light.
Most importantly, whenever he looked at her, she would smile brightly.
He stepped closer and gently touched her cheek with the back of his hand, feeling its warmth.
“Are you sleepy?” He asked with a gentle voice.
Yvonne shook her head and looked at him intently with her big black eyes.
She was not sleepy at all. She even wanted to run outside and play
Someone knocked on the door of the room. Kelvin rubbed her head and walked over to open the door.
A bodyguard walked in and glanced in the direction of Yvonne. Seeing this, Kelvin lowered his voice during the
conversation.

“Use the drone to scatter the powder at the place I was earlier, then take care of the wolf bodies. Retrieve the bullets and destroy them.”
“Okay, boss.”
The bodyguard quietly left the room and closed the door with a creak.
Kelvin walked towards the bed..
The blankets in the church were all the same light gray color, the ones that the young man had brought earlier.
He unfolded it, placing one half underneath, while pulling the other half up.
Then, he walked over to the chair and gently picked up Yvonne, cradling her in his arms.
When she was stuffed under the blanket, she asked him curiously, “Aren’t you going to sleep, Daddy?”
Kelvin hummed softly, draping his coat over the blanket. His gaze was warm and gentle as he looked at her. “I’ll stay by your side, keeping watch over you.”
Yvonne closed her eyes, then opened them again.
Her big, bright eyes sparkled with energy, showing no signs of sleepiness at all.
I can’t sleep, Dad,” she said honestly.
After a moment, she added, “I miss the bed at home. It’s soft and smells nice. This one doesn’t smell nice, and I don’t like it.” At some point, the little girl had become a bit pampered.
Kelvin did not realize it. He looked at the watch on his wrist and felt a little guilty. “We’ll wait for another hour, then I’ll take you back home to sleep,”
“Okay.”
There was another knock on the door. Kelvin went out for a few minutes and came back with a clean and soft blanket.
He placed the blanket by the bed. Yvonne crawled out of the blanket restlessly and rubbed against the fur on it excitedly. “Daddy, I really like soft things…
“Alright, I’ll remember.”
He pulled up a chair and sat by the bed, carefully tucking the blanket in to make sure no wind would sneak inside.
After doing this, he looked at Yvonne’s big sparkling eyes and said in a low and gentle voice. “Yvonne. there’s something 1 want to tell you.”
“Mm–hmm!” She nodded obediently. “Go ahead!”
“The ability you have isn’t something everyone has. It only exists in a very small number of people… So, your own health is the most important thing”
Even though Kelvin spoke slowly, Yvonne’s eyes gradually became visibly confused.
This wasn’t working, so Kelvin decided to give an example.
“Just like Mr. Holmes. Do you remember the last time he snatched you away from us at the airport?”
