I nodded and took the documents, then addressed the rest of the room, “Okay, enough already. Settle down!”
I raised the document in the air. “You wanted proof, right? Here’s-”
Before I could finish, Harry snatched the papers, barely glancing at them, still fueled by the anger he’d stirred up. while shouting at his old partners.
Without hesitation, he tore the papers into pieces, shouting, “I don’t know what the fuck these are supposed to be, but I know I ain’t done nothing wrong, and none of you can slander me!”
I shrugged, took another copy from Megyn, and handed it to him. “Here. There’s more where that came from. Go ahead and tear this one to pieces again. When you’re finally tired and satisfied, we’ll talk about the details.” Harry glared at me, his cheeks quivering. “How dare you do this to your own father, you ungrateful bitch?!”
I raised an eyebrow. “You make me sound so heartless, Harry. But am I? I’m not the one discussing how to kill their daughter to make her company theirs!”
“Don’t fucking make things up!” Cameron shrieked.
I raised my phone and played the recording at maximum volume.
“Imprisonment is too bloody easy for her! She killed Maddie–and Maddie isn’t coming back because of her! She should die! Kill her in a crash! Then make her company yours!”
The room fell silent as the crowd gasped. Fingers pointed, and disapproving sneers spread across their faces.
Cameron panted as if she were a rabid dog. Suddenly, she lunged at me.
Two of my security guards shot out from the side and grabbed her by the arms.
She struggled, screaming, “You fucking bitch! Snake! You should die for the sins you’ve committed against your own family! This is terrorism against us! God will punish you!”
Realizing the trouble he was in, Harry turned his anger on Megyn. “Ingraham! How could you backstab me like this, you ungrateful woman?! I’ve let you work with me for six years!
“And you! And you, and you! I’m the reason any of you can even feed your families! How dare all of you backstab me like this!”
His accusations only enraged the room further. To them, Harry was the one who had backstabbed them first. The tension in the room escalated quickly, and soon, someone began throwing objects across the office. Frowning, I retreated to a safer spot and dialed the IRS‘ tip line. Then, I called the police.
“Megyn! Mr. Blake! Guys! Calm down! The cops and IRS agents are on their way!” I shouted.
Harry’s fury shifted focus back to me. Before he could lunge at me, the remaining security guards rushed to my side and blocked him.-
“You can’t fuck with me, you bitch! You think I’ll just go gently?!” he roared, as though he still had some hidden weapon up his sleeve. “In your dreams!”
Well, I sure wish my dreams come true one day!” I quipped.
The police and IRS agents arrived shortly after.
