Ryan’s POV
I had never seen anyone as beautiful as the girl standing by my sister’s bedroom door. I couldn’t take my eyes off her; it was like I was in a trance. There was no way anyone could look as good as her.
“Mate.”
“What did you say, Ryan?” Emily asked. It was then that I figured out I said it out loud. I looked t my sister’s confused expression that changed to realization.
“Oh, my Goddess,” Emily whispered.
“Hello, my name is Ryan,” I said, smiling as I walked toward the girl.
“Hello, my name is, umm, Violet,” She said with the most angelic voice.
“Violet,” I said back. She did the most adorable thing and began to blush. “It is nice to meet you, Violet,” I said and held my hand out. She took it and shook my hand. All I could feel was the most pleasurable sparks going throughout my body from my Mates touch. She gasped but didn’t pull her hand from mine, letting me know she felt it too.
“Mate is human,” My wolf Max said
“I know,” I replied. We have to take our time with her. She doesn’t know anything about werewolves and Mates.

“Violet is my best friend and roommate,” Emily said, walking over toward us.
“Well, it is nice to meet you, Violet,” I said
“You too,” She replied
“What’s taking you so long, Baby?” I froze when I heard Jane’s voice. “Hello, my name is Jane, and you are?” she asked as she walked over to me.
“Hello, my name is Violet. I am Emily’s friend,” Violet replied and took her hand out of mine, causing my body to feel cold from the loss of her touch.
“There you are, Son. Your mom has been calling for you for a while now. Come on; I need you to help me move these chairs in the backyard before everyone shows up,” My dad said.
“Okay, dad,” I said. “I have to help my dad. I will see you soon,” I said, looking at Violet.
“Alright,” Violet said, a little confused. “It was nice to me, the both of you,” She said, looking at me and then at Jane. I had forgotten Jane was here.

“What is going on with you? You have been acting different since you met your sister’s friend,” Jane asked, and she put her hand on my chest, causing me to move away. Her touch didn’t feel pleasurable anymore. It made me feel disgusted having another female touch me that wasn’t my Mate.

“Don’t touch me,” I growled, causing Jane to flinch. I looked around to see the Pack Members in the backyard looking at
- me.
“What’s wrong,” Jane whispered once everyone returned to helping decorate the backyard for my parent’s anniversary party. I sighed when I saw the worried look on her face.
“Come on, Jane. Let’s go somewhere quiet so we can talk,” I said, and we walked away from the Packhouse. We sat on a bench at the park by the Packhouse. Pups were playing while their parents watched them.
“What do you have to tell me, Ryan? Why are you acting so weird?”
“I found my Mate,” I said. Jane looked at me for a moment, then began laughing hysterically as if I was joking.
“That is funny, Ryan.” Jane stopped laughing when she noticed my serious expression.
“You’re not kidding, are you?” Jane asked
“No. I am not kidding,” I replied
“It’s your sister’s friend, isn’t it?”
“Yes, Violet is my Mate,” I said
“Well, you will reject her and make me your chosen Mate, like you told me today,” Jane said, causing me to growl.
“I am not going to reject my Mate.” I could see her shiver in fear.
“Ryan, she is human. She will not make a good Luna as I will.

“You can’t be serious. You just met her, and you are breaking up with me,” Jane asked. I could tell she was pissed by the tone of her voice.
“Yes, we are over. She is my Mate and all I want,” I replied
“That isn’t what you felt about an hour ago when you were fucking me from behind,” Jane said
“I know, and I regret touching you now that I have found my Mate. There is nothing you can say that will make me change my mind. You and I are over,” I growled. She looked at me for

“Fine, if that is what you want, then we are over. Don’t come running to me when she breaks your heart,” Jane said and walked away.
I knew she would be pissed, but she would have to get over it. We both knew that we would find our Mates one day. I was shocked I found mine first.

How dare Ryan break up with me after everything we have been through? I have put up with a lot of his crap to become Luna, and once he finally agrees to choose me as his chosen Mate, he finds his Fated one, and she is human. There was no way I was going to let her take my place as Luna.

“Wow, sis. What’s wrong?” My brother Carter asked.
“It’s Ryan. He broke up with me right after telling me he was going to choose me as his Chosen Mate,” I cried.
“Why would he do that? Did you two get into a fight or something?” Carter asked
“No. Ryan found his Mate today. She is Emily’s friend she brought here for their parent’s anniversary, and she is human.” Carter had a weird look on his face hearing me say who Ryan’s Mate was.
“Wait a minute. His Mate is Emily’s friend she brought today. Violet, The one with the little girl?” Carter asked, making me look at him.
“What little girl?” I asked confused
“Violet has a daughter. I saw her carrying her daughter into the house when she and Emily arrived today,” Carter said. I couldn’t help but smile.
“Thanks, bro,” I said. I knew what I had to do to make Ryan reject Violet and make me his Mate and Luna.

get upset. Just thinking about my Mate being with someone else made me and Max want to kill someone. I walked to where she was sitting with my sister and grabbed Violet’s hand. “We need to talk,” I said, walking with her from the backyard.
“Ryan,” Emily called, but I ignored her.
