Though Madelyn had never been to this club before, she was familiar with it.

and women.
Given that it was a gathering spot for the upper crust of society, the prices were naturally astonishingly high. Those without a certain level of status and identity would never be found here.
However, in the past, due to Sebastian’s frequent visits to this club for social engagements, Madelyn had purposely avoided coming here to evade him.

The security guard gave her a once–over, noticing her still–damp hair, casually thrown–on clothes, and a pair of slippers she was wearing.
She didn’t seem like someone who could afford to spend money here at first glance.
The security guard said, “If you wish to enter, please present your invitation card.”
Invitation card? At a club?
Madelyn was instantly infuriated. Are they judging me just because I’m dressed simply? Do they think I can’t afford it? Such condescending snobs!
Left with no other choice, Madelyn reluctantly took out her phone and dialed Wesley’s number.
After waiting for about one minute without getting through, she hung up and called a second time.
At that time, the private room where Wesley was situated was filled with a cacophony of noise.
Wesley was usually preoccupied with work, leaving him little time to seek enjoyment here.
Now that he was at the club and with Sebastian, several women were invited to join in the fun.
Moreover, these women were far from ordinary in appearance. They were all prominent young ladies, each one of them exuding a captivating allure.
“Ladies, let’s have a blast today! Let’s have the time of our lives!” Wesley spoke, then lifted a glass of whiskey and drained it in one go.
He was cheerful by nature, which made him quite popular among crowds.
A thunderous applause erupted, followed by a chorus of voices cheering, “Mr. Gale, you’re so cool!”

He settled into a corner of the couch, sitting alone. His fingers traced the rim of a half–filled cocktail glass, swaying it gently.
His entire demeanor was filled with a gloominess as if he wanted to merge with the darkness.
At that moment, a few provocatively dressed women approached, striking up a conversation with him.
“Mr. Lockhart, how come you’re here all by yourself? Don’t you feel lonely?”
“Exactly, let’s go have some fun together. Can’t you see how happy everyone else is?”
“To be honest, Mr. Lockhart, you’re even more handsome than I imagined.”
A few women spoke in gentle tones, clearly attempting to curry favor with Sebastian. Yet, they feared offending him, so they dared not speak loudly.
Sebastian didn’t pay attention to any of them. Instead, he felt a slight headache.
He had just wanted to hang out casually with Wesley since he wasn’t going home.
Little did he expect Wesley to round up so many women to cause such a commotion.
The entire private room was filled with women’s laughter and shrieks. The women around him were constantly changing, one group leaving only to be replaced by another.
Sebastian, feeling impatient, rubbed his temples, finding himself increasingly agitated.
“What are you doing over here? Come and join us!” At that moment, Wesley noticed Sebastian sitting alone in the corner, so he reached out and forcibly pulled him into the crowd.
Following that, Wesley suddenly picked up the microphone and announced, “Everyone, please quiet down!”
Upon hearing the sound, everyone in the private room gradually fell silent.
Wesley continued, “Sebastian, open your eyes wide today and look at these beautiful women in front of you. Aren’t they all beautiful? Aren’t they all from respectable families? You should relax today and stop thinking about that woman, all right?”
After speaking, Wesley specifically gave one of the women a meaningful glance.

He pulled out his phone, only to find that it was Madelyn who was calling. He couldn’t help but frown. Why is she calling?

Seeing that the phone call wasn’t going through, Madelyn had no choice but to resort to a different plan.
“I demand to see your manager!” Madelyn stated assertively to the two security guards.
The two security guards exchanged glances, their faces filled with uncase. “Miss, our manager isn’t someone you can just see whenever you want.”
Madelyn let out a chuckle. She wasn’t someone who could be casily dismissed.
“I don’t care. Get the manager out here right now. I have important matters to discuss with him. If there’s any delay, you won’t be able to afford the consequences.”
These words indeed did the trick. Upon hearing that they couldn’t afford the potential consequences, the two security guards were worried that it turned out to be a serious matter.
And so, within a few minutes, the manager came out.
Madelyn was extremely anxious. As soon as she saw the manager, she said, “I am the young lady of the Thornton family. I’m looking for Sebastian. You know where they are, don’t you?”
The manager shuddered. She’s the young lady of the Thornton family?
“Hold on a moment, please.” The manager promptly went to report to Wesley.
“What is she doing here?”
Upon hearing the manager’s report, Wesley couldn’t help but furrow his brows.
Shortly after, with a look of disdain, he said, “Keep her outside. Don’t let her come up.”
The manager seemed to be in a bit of a
predicament.
After all, the young lady of the Thornton family was notoriously willful. If she was not allowed in, she would likely throw a fit.
However, before Madelyn could lose her temper, Wesley beat her to it. “What, you’re not listening to me anymore? When I tell you to stop her, you do so. Do you understand?”
Startled by his tone, the manager quickly nodded. “Yes, yes, yes, I understand.”
Following that, he descended the stairs.
Wesley wore a face of discontent. Madelyn has already done enough to upset Sebastian.
I finally got him out to enjoy himself. I can’t let her stir things up again and ruin the fun!
The manager stepped outside, looking apologetically at Madelyn. “I’m sorry, Ms. Thornton. Our club has a rule that no one can enter without an invitation card. Please leave.”
