She still found it ridiculous as she continued, “Some classmates are fans of The Legend. When they were talking about the new song release, Noelle happened to overhear them.”
“She probably heard that the arranger is a girl around our age, so Noelle got an idea and deliberately claimed to be the group’s arranger! Everyone was speechless when they heard her say that.”
Charlie’s expression changed after hearing this.
Actually, the arranger for The Legend’s new song was indeed an 18–year–old girl, and this news had been spreading wildly in the industry.
Many people think this was just a publicity stunt, a tactic by Radiance Media to create buzz.
After all, it was impossible for a freshly turned 18–year–old girl, who hadn’t even finished her studies, to compete with experienced professional arrangers.
Moreover, The Legend was a heavily invested idol group by Radiance Media, so they wouldn’t just hire any arranger carelessly.
At first, Charlie shared the same opinion as everyone else.
But when Leia mentioned that Noelle claimed to be the arranger for The Legend, a sudden thought crossed Charlie’s mind.
If what Noelle said about being the creator of The Shadows was true, then it didn’t seem all that surprising that she’s now an arranger for an idol group.
Seeing that Charlie did not speak for a long time, Leia glanced at him cautiously.
She said, “Charlie, Noelle is a liar! Whether she claims to be the creator of The Shadows or the arranger for some idol group, she’s just trying to get attention and make people notice her. If you actually believe her, then you’d be a fool.”
Charlie didn’t respond to Leia’s harsh judgment of Noelle.
After a moment of silence, he finally lifted his gaze to the sincere–looking Leia in front of him and replied calmly, “I understand.”

Charlie immediately interrupted Leia.
He looked at her calmly and explained, “Leia, the discussions about Reyna inthe industry are getting louder, Phoenix Entertainment and I decided to delay the collaboration purely for business reasons. This has nothing to do with whether Noelle is lying or not. Do you understand?”
Leia pursed her lips upon hearing this, feeling as though she had just been rejected.
She immediately broke down and said indignantly, “That’s just a bunch of people jealous of Reyna’s talent, so they’re spreading rumors and slandering! Charlie, how can you be just as blind to right and wrong as the others?”
That remark was a bit too much.

If Charlie refused to help her and even fell out with Reyna, her future in Lighting Media would become uncertain.
Leia felt that ever since Noelle returned to the Anderson family, everything had changed.
Damon, who doted on her the most, no longer hated Noelle like before.
As for Eli, he had completely fallen out with her for Noelle.
Now, Charlie had only met Noelle a few times, yet he was already starting to change. In the past, he would agree to anything she asked without hesitation. But now, when she merely asked him to talk with Reyna for her, he kept making excuses.

Just as the tension between them reached a stalemate, Charlie’s assistant, Zick, rushed over in a panic and said, “Charlie, bad news!”
“What happened?” Charlie frowned when he saw Zick in such a hurry,
After running over, Zick glanced at Leia before hesitating.
Charlie said, “Just say it, it’s fine.”
Zick continued, “Just now, Reyna’s assistant contacted me, saying that your other sister is suspected of spreading false rumors and defaming her. She’s planning to hold her accountable. But since you both still have an ongoing partnership, she wanted to hear your opinion first.”
Charlie’s expression darkened when he heard this.
Reyna claimed to be asking for his opinion, but in reality, this was nothing short of a threat.
It was probably because they had not expressed their stance on the collaboration for a long time that Reyna decided to do something desperate.
He glanced at Leia and asked, “Leia, how did Noelle’s words reach Reyna?”
Leia came back to her senses.
She blinked innocently at Charlie and asked, “Charlie, you don’t actually think I was the one who told her, do you?”
Charlie remained silent.
Leia continued, “It has nothing to do with me. Noelle openly claimed to be the creator of The Shadows in front of so many classmates. Maybe some busybody spread the news, and it just happened to reach Reyna’s ears. Besides, Noelle is my sister, I have no reason to pass this on to her.”
Leia’s words were sincere. Coupled with her innocent expression, ordinary people might be fooled.
But Charlie was in the entertainment industry.

He knew very well whether Leia truly saw Noelle as her sister.

He wondered if Charlie really didn’t care about Noelle.

Leia was a bit surprised. She didn’t expect Charlie to completely ignore Noelle’s situation. Unable to hold back, she asked, “Charlie, are you really going to just stand by and do nothing? If Noelle is held accountable, she might even get expelled.”
Charlie glanced at Leia, his deep eyes seeming to pierce straight into her soul. “Do you want me to help Noelle?”
