After returning to the courtyard, Jackson went to start the fire, while Janie poured water to make soup. Jackson looked extremely skilled at this, and he almost instinctively said to Janie, “You can go have a rest?
Janie refused, “I’ll go wash some vegetables, you just focus on the fire.” Janie felt that shecouldn’t just do nothing all the time. Jackson agreed without hesitation, “Alright then.”
Janie washed some greens and dug a few sweet potatoes to bake. She even caught a fish to make fish soup. That would be enough for the breakfast.
When she returned with all the food, David and Xena happened to come back as well. “Janie, you cook so fast, we just got back!” Xena exclaimed. “Thank you.” Janie responded politely.
Finishing greeting, Janic took the food in her hand to find Jackson. He was busy tending to three stoves by himself. Janie felt that she really should go and help him.
[Jackson is such a diligent good man! Handsome, considerate, and good at cooking! Some men with bad looks and no life skills that dream about women serving them should really learn from him!], [Janie and Jackson are really always one step ahead!]
Seeing that, Zion snorted lightly. David instinctively wanted to help Janie and Jackson, while Emily noticed and immediately smiled, “David, I can’t start a fire, could you please help me?”
David refused without a second thought, “I can’t either.” Emily froze with her smile faltering. David calmly said, “I’m just someone you invited to the show but not your partner. Let’s each do our own thing
David couldn’t wait to walk up to Jackson with a smile, “Jackson will teach me how to start a fire.” Jackson didn’t even lift his head and said, “Don’t come here, I’m busy!” David said nothing but finally came over cheekily anyway.
He intended to help Jackson out by the way. Janie was washing vegetables, and Jackson was really too busy managing three
stoves.
Emily came over then and asked, “Why are there three stoves? Mr. Moore, can we borrow one?” Hearing this, Jackson suddenly felt irritated, his tone not very pleasant, “No, you have your own one.”
[David, seriously, I’m crying. So ruthless?], [Hhh, don’t come near! I’m laughing so loud. The one who disdained others was finally disdained.], [Well, comparing with Emily, Jackson’s attitude towards David was quite good.]
Emily wasn’t surprised by Jackson’s answer and left with a forlorn expression. Jason laughed and said, “Emily, why not join us? We don’t know how to make fire, either. Let’s work together!”
Emily walked towards them with a touched face. Molly shivered subconsciously and wondered, ‘After everything that had happened, why did Jason still dare to cook with Emily? Was he mad?‘
After Janie had almost finished preparing the vegetables and fish, she ran into Xena and Zion coming over together. Zion gave Janie a cold glance and turned his head away.
For such childish behavior, Janie naturally didn’t care at all. Xena greeted Janie with a smile, and Janie perfunctorily greeted back. Watching Janie’s back, Zion subconsciously wanted to complain. But he saw the camera and remembered what Rya had told him, so he held it.
When Janie returned to their stove, Jackson and David were working together with great enthusiasm. Seeing that David wouldn’t leave, Jackson simply decided to make use of him as a servant.
Well, Jackson was happy about that, and David was also cheerful. “Janie, the fire is almost ready, you can cook now.” David spotted Janie instantly and called out to her warmly. Janie couldn’t help but ask, “Why are you here?”

David grinned, not feeling awkward at all. Jackson said disdainfully, “I couldn’t drive him away, he insisted on staying here.”

David had already actively taken what Janie was holding and said, “Janic, you’ve done too much, Jackson and I can handle the rest. You go have rest.” Jackson clearly had the same plan, so Janie didn’t refuse and sat down on a chair to play with the cellphone.
[Excuse me, Jackson? Why did you want to drive David away? Show some respect, okay?]
[It was obvious that they had a good relationship. They were just kidding. David looked so happy, and why were you so worked up?]
[Janie is really lucky, being served by two great handsome guys.]
Walking over here, Zion snorted again. Xena tugged at him. He glanced at Janie and deliberately said, “Xena, you can sit there and wait for us, Ryan and I will make fire and cook.”
Speaking like this, he was actually not that confident. After all, Zion really didn’t have any life skills. Xena shook her head, “How could I rest with a clear conscience with you all serving me?”
Zion laughed heartily, “So? Someone felt so at ease like that.” Janie heard but said nothing. Xena stopped him, “Zion, don’t say that.”
[Janie: Am I judged again? Oh well, I’m used to it. Just another usual day has passed.]
Ryan couldn’t start the fire, and after a long time, he still didn’t make it. He called out unperturbedly, “Zion, stop lagging there, come over and start the fire!”
“Coming!” Zion walked towards Ryan, so did Xena. Zion frowned and asked, “Ryan, haven’t you even started yet?”
Ryan felt a bit awkward. Yesterday’s fire was lit by the crew, and it seemed quite simple. However, when he tried to do it by himself, he failed several times.
Xena quickly said, “Ryan must have been busy all along, let’s try it together. I’m hungry.” Zion nodded, “Okay.”
“Ouch!” Emily screamed. Xena hurried over to see and asked, “What happened?” It turned out that Emily lit the fire and burned herself. She was frantically blowing on her hand to ease the pain.
Jason also came over to show some concern. Molly now felt so worried. The others were ready for breakfast, they even hadn’t started the fire. So she ignored Emily and continued trying to light the fire by herself.
Xena also rushed over to see Emily. Ryan and Zion tried to start the fire for a long time, ending up with their faces covered in ashes. Yet they still failed.
They both valued their pride very much but felt deeply embarrassed at the moment. Seeing Jackson and David proficiently managing the fire made them feel even more humiliated.
[Jeez, what a chaos! It was just starting a fire, how hard could it be?], [Oh no! Emily’s wound seems so severe! Just a few seconds later, it will heal itself!], [You are too indifferent!], [Yes, my heart is harder than a stone. Why not call the police?]
