“I like my place quiet, so it’s not too bad. There are no housekeepers or maids here, but my parents regularly send some of our retinue over to keep it clean ”

“What would you like to eat, Tay? Should we cook something ourselves?” His voice echoed from another room.
I blinked, snapping out of my daze. I found him in the kitchen, standing by the open fridge. “Or should we dine out?”
I glanced at the fridge and gaped. “You don’t even stay here often! Why is there so much food?”
He slipped an arm around me, pulled me in, and whispered in my ear, “I had the butler send it over just now.”
Our faces were mere inches apart.
“I suppose I should show you my cooking for once,” I said.

There were three kitchens in the villa–one for fine dining, one for everyday meals, and another for BBQ parties. Naturally, I picked the home–cooking kitchen.
Back when Edward was sick, he’d had a terrible appetite. To help him eat more, I’d put a lot of effort into learning how to make nutritious and delicious meals. But tonight, I settled on something much simpler.
Soren wasn’t like the typical rich man who sat on the couch glued to his phone. He actually helped.
I’d only ever seen this kind of equal partnership in dramas. Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I’d have a man like that in my life, but here he was.
Soren was a good sport, finishing every bite of his meal.
“God, if cooking didn’t take so much work, I’d want to eat your food every day,” he said.
“Nah. Nie chefs at the estate are beiter.”
“Not really. They cook because It’s their job. You cook because of me.”

“Ha. Then I guess I’m here for the free food.”
After dinner, I started clearing the table.
Soren said the maids would come to clean up, so we could leave the dishes. But I didn’t want someone corming all the way here just to deal with our mess, so I loaded everything into the dishwasher.
After that, he took me on a walk around the villa. It was so big that calling it a stroll felt like an understatement.
By the time we got back inside, he turned to me. “Do you like it here? If you do, you should move in whenever you want. It’s a bit of a waste to leave it empty, right?”
