Upon looking, there were a few bold words on the note that read: Open it. It’s very important for you.
Sebastian couldn’t help but frown, taking the cassette and playing it right away.
The scene began with the camera perfectly angled toward the stage of the campus hall from the upper
right.
A young man dressed entirely in black, sporting a baseball cap, stealthily made his way in, a dagger clasped. in his hand.
Afterward, he moved the long ladder that was used for renovations to the side. He climbed to the top of the stage light, forcefully cutting the rope that held it with a dagger. complexion turned exceedingly grim.
The footage clearly conveyed that the incident of the falling stage light was no accident. Instead, someone had deliberately cut the rope beforehand with the malicious intent to kill Madelyn.
“Mr. Lockhart, it seems that this was a premeditated act of sabotage. Malcolm commented from the side. “Unfortunately, the man in the footage is wearing a baseball cap, and with the dim light from the lamp above, it’s nearly impossible to make out his face.”

In the end, Harriet suddenly took a few steps to the edge of the bed. Her eyes, dark and intense, were fixed on Madelyn. That straightforward and profound gaze was filled with inquiry as if she was trying to see through Madelyn’s heart.
Madelyn was initially taken aback, but she quickly regained her composure, meeting Harriet’s gaze fearlessly. “What’s wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?” Madelyn asked.
“I just want to see clearly who you truly are!” Harriet suddenly declared through gritted teeth.
Upon hearing these words, Madelyn responded with an indifferent laugh, “Ms. Moore, are you delusional? I am Madelyn. Is there a problem?”
Harriet, however, firmly shook her head, her voice heavy as she said, “No. You’re not.”
“In that case, who do you think I am?” Madelyn still wore a smile as though she’d just heard a joke. What on earth is Harriet thinking?
“I don’t know,” Harriet calmly stated.
Suddenly, as if a thought struck her, Harriet’s expression turned icy cold. “However, I’m warning you. No matter who you are, why you’re pretending to be Madelyn, or even why you’ve become what you are today, as long as you don’t harm Sebastian in any way. I can turn a blind eye to who you really are. However, if you do anything to hurt Sebastian, I swear I won’t let you off!”
Upon hearing these words, Madelyn couldn’t help but let out a cold, derisive laugh. “Is that so? But Harriet, what makes you think you have the right, or rather, on what grounds do you think you can interfere in Sebastian’s affairs?”
