They wanted to object, but Janie’s words echoed in their ears
It wasn’t a momentary outburst or a ploy. She genuinely wanted nothing to do with them
Janie remained indifferent, but Jackson appeared a bit worried.
He knew how deeply she felt about relationships. Despite his intense dislike for the Jenkins family, he had to acknowledge their blood connection to Janie.
“Janie…” Jackson began.
She turned to him with a smile, “What’s wrong?”
Seeing her truly unconcerned, Jackson relaxed. He quickly put on a cheerful face. “Congratulations! They shouldn’t bother you anymore.”
Janie’s smile turned cold, “I’ve been more than fair. If they harass me again, they’ll regret it.”

David wasn’t mingling with guests; he was waiting for Janie and Jackson.
Meanwhile, Xena tried to engage him in conversation, but David’s attention was solely on Janie and Jackson. From Xena rolled her eyes and left.
Zion grumbled, “What’s with the attitude? He only has eyes for that bit-”
A familiar sensation hit him, and he quickly shut up, horrified.
Was he cursed? Every time he tried to badmouth Janie, he felt the urge to fart.

Xena was about to hear Zion out and offer some advice, but his constipated expression stopped her short. Xena was left speechless.
Tyler frowned silently.
As an outsider to the Jenkins family drama, he knew it wasn’t his place to comment.
Just then, Janie and Jackson appeared.

Zion, Xena and Tyler walked over.
Tyler couldn’t take his eyes off Janie,
She had been pretty five years ago before turning eighteen, but now she was absolutely stunning
That first glance had captivated him all over again, even more than before.
‘Maybe a fling wouldn’t be so bad, Tyler thought with a smile.
Xena gritted her teeth and asked Janic, “Where are my parents?”
Janie ignored her. “Didn’t I tell you to stay away from me? Are you deaf?”
Xena paled.
Zion was still struggling not to fart, unable to defend his sister.
Tyler stepped in, “Janic, you’re family… why be like this?”
Janic frowned slightly. “And you are?”
She genuinely didn’t recognize him.
Tyler’s face froze.
How could she not remember him?
For the usually arrogant Tyler, this was unacceptable.
If not for the mix–up, he would’ve been her fiancé!
Xena quickly interjected, “This is Tyler, Janie. You’ve met before, remember?”
Jackson scoffed, “Tyler? Never heard of him. Can’t even introduce himself properly?”
Xena and Tyler were at a loss for words.
Tyler clenched his fists. “My last name is Krieger.”
“Ah, you’re from the prestigious Krieger family in Skyline City?” Jackson asked coldly.

Tyler’s fists tightened further. The gap between his family and the wealthy Krieger family of Skyline City had always been a sore spot for him, something he desperately tried to hide.

Janie couldn’t be bothered to pay attention to her.
Jackson scowled. “Stop talking nonsense! They want to thank her, not meet parents!”
Before Zion could mock them, Kathy and the others emerged.

Janie, Jackson and David were speechless.
“You idiot! One more word and you’re dead!” Jackson exploded at Tyler’s blatant insult.

Jackson didn’t hesitate to kick Tyler, making him stumble.

Though humiliated, Tyler was relieved no one else witnessed it.
His pride wouldn’t let him fight Jackson in public.
Tyler straightened his clothes, shot Jackson a venomous glare, and left.
“Coward!” Jackson sneered.
David watched in amazement.
“Well done!” Janie praised. She had been ready to strike Tyler herself.
She almost wanted to make a move herself!
Jackson smirked proudly. “If this wasn’t such a formal place, I would’ve made him crawl away!”
However, David looked concerned. The Krieger family weren’t a small family- they wouldn’t forget this humiliation and might seek revenge, especially since Jackson was a public figure…
