After Phoebe left, Patrick led Lech into the villa.
Declan’s voice was cold. “What did Phoebe just say to you at the door?”
“Ms. Greene was just asking about how you usually take your baths,” Patrick answered.
Declan frowned, a flash of coldness flickering in his eyes. “And how did you respond?”
“I told her that you always bathe by yourself,” Patrick said.
Noticing that Declan’s expression darkened further, Patrick had a sinking feeling in his gut. “Mr. Richardson, did I say something wrong?”

om now on, if Phoebe asks anything about me, just say you are not sure.”
Patrick responded, “Understood.”
Declan rubbed his temples, feeling a headache coming on.
Their relationship was already tense. Now that she knew he had deceived her, there was no telling how she would react.

The entire day, Phoebe was irritable, still fuming over how Declan had toyed with her the night before. Just then, Adrian unwittingly walked straight into trouble, bringing over a new contract for Phoebe to sign.
After reviewing it, Phoebe circled more than a dozen glaring issues and tossed the contract in front of Adrian.
“Mr. Turner, I am beginning to suspect that you were sent by a rival company as a spy. If I sign this contract, do Miracle Youth could be bankrupt by tomorrow? We might even end up in jail,” she said.

Adrian glanced at the sections Phoebe had marked, his face darkening.
The contract had been given to him by Felix. After being beaten up by Phoebe, Felix harbored a grudge and deliberately set up this contract, instructing Adrian to persuade her to sign it.
Felix had claimed he only wanted to teach Phoebe a lesson and even promised that once she signed, the debt Adrian owed him would be written off. That was the only reason Adrian had agreed.

Given that the company had just laid off a large number of employees, Phoebe had not planned on targeting shareholders so soon. However, Adrian’s conduct had grown increasingly reckless, and she had no intention of keeping him any longer.

Phoebe’s lips curved into a faint smile. She nodded. “That is true. But, Mr. Turner, you should also know that you are not suited for managing a company. Would it not be better for you to stay home and collect dividends each year?”
Adrian’s expression turned grim as he glared at her in anger. “What are you saying? You want me to resign?”

“Mr. Turner, your department has consistently had the worst performance in the company. I do not wish to make things unpleasant for everyone. You have three days to step down from the board on your own. The company will ensure you receive every cent of your dividends, and you will have plenty of time to enjoy life,” Phoebe said.
Adrian was so furious he nearly exploded, his face contorted with rage.
Phoebe remained composed as she gazed at him and said slowly, “Mr. Turner, take some time to think it over and give me your decision.”
Adrian stared at her coldly and gritted his teeth. “There is no need to think about it. I will not step down from the board. Even if you are the president of Miracle Youth, you do not have the authority to remove me.”
