“Bianca, enough.” Scott’s eyes were filled with anger. Although Phoebe’s words had upset him, he had never intended to completely alienate her.
Bianca looked at him coldly, her voice laced with disappointment. “Scott, I thought getting back together would make us happy. But ever since we did, all I feel is resentment. I think I need to seriously reconsider our relationship.”
With that, Bianca turned and left without hesitation.
Scott hesitated for a few seconds but ultimately did not go after her. “Ms. Greene, are you satisfied now?”
Phoebe met Scott’s icy gaze with an indifferent expression. “What does this have to do with me? You two were the ones who stirred up this mess.”
If Scott and Bianca had not approached her looking for attention, none of this would have happened.
As a woman, Phoebe understood Bianca’s behavior all too well; it was nothing more than a ploy to get Scott to chase after her. She never truly intended to break up.
Having said her piece, Phoebe turned and walked straight into Miracle Youth.
Over the next half–month, Declan’s injuries had mostly healed, and he began working at Richardson Group.
Seeing that the timing was right, Phoebe reached out to her senior, Yann White, and the two arranged to meet at a high–end
restaurant.
At exactly 8:00 PM, Phoebe arrived on time.
Yann smiled as he saw her. “Pheebs, long time no see.”
Phoebe took a seat across from him, picked up the menu, and said, “Yann, you are paying for this meal today, ri
Raising an eyebrow, Yann replied, “Order whatever you like. I can afford one meal.”
Phoebe ordered a few of her favorite dishes, handed the menu to the waiter, then looked at Yann. “Thanks, Yann.”
Vann chuckled. “My pleasure. If I did not treat you to this meal, you probably would not let this go so easily.”
Phoebe snorted and sneered. “Good that you understand. Next time, if you dare gossip about me to Mr. Walker again, I have a few stories of yours that I can share with him.”
Yann sighed helplessly and shook his head. “I was forced by Mr. Walker. You know how it is. Among all his students, you are his favorite. Of course, he wants to know how you are doing.”
“Next time he asks, just tell him to come to me directly,” Phoebe stated.
“That is actually a good idea.” Yann agreed.
Seeing the amusement in his eyes, Phoebe rolled her eyes and said irritably, “I am planning to go back next week. Do you want to come with me? Mr. Walker said you have not visited in three years either.”
“Sure. If I go with you, he might actually let me visit. Otherwise, I doubt he would want to see me,” Yann replied.
Phoebe gave him a look. “Mainly, if you are with me, and Mr. Walker really does get angry and tries to hit me, you can help
block for me.”
“You deserve it.” Yann gloated. “Mr. Walker warned you back when you treated Declan’s leg the first time, but

Phoebe was momentarily stunned. ‘Why does everyone insist on being so blunt? she wondered.
“I was reckless back then, but this time, his injury is my fault,” Phoebe admitted,
Yann frowned. “What happened?”

Phoebe pressed her lips together. “Yann, just do not ask. No matter what, I am going to heal his leg this time. After that, we will go our separate ways.”
Seeing that she was unwilling to say more, Yann did not press the issue. Instead, he asked, “Are you taking him with you?”
Phoebe shook her head. “Once his leg is healed, there will be nothing left between us. I do not want him to know my true identity.”
At first, she had considered taking Declan back with her, but with their relationship deteriorating recently, she did not want to complicate matters further.
