It was a girl around eighteen or nineteen. Realizing she had caused trouble, she quickly crouched down to apologize while picking up the scattered items. “Miss, I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean to.”
Phoebe calmly gathered her things and looked at the apologetic girl. “Be more careful next time. Don’t run so fast. You could hurt yourself.”
The girl lowered her head, a flash of guilt in her eyes. “Yeah, I got it.”
Phoebe didn’t say anything else and walked straight to the underground parking lot.
After leaving the parking lot, Phoebe noticed a car was tailing her.
A cold glint flashed in her eyes as she immediately called Declan. “Mr. Richardson, tell your people to leave right now, or I’ll call the police.”
There was a brief silence on the other end before Declan’s cold voice came through. “I didn’t send anyone to follow you. Where are you now?”
Phoebe was momentarily taken aback, then quickly hung up.
With that thought.
‘If it wasn’t Declan’s people, could it be Scorpion?‘ she thought.
pressed the accelerator, and her red Lamborghini sped toward the outskirts of the city.
However, not long after, Phoebe suddenly felt dizzy, her strength gradually draining away.
‘Has someone drugged me? But when did this happen?‘ she wondered.
Then, she remembered the girl who had bumped into her outside the restaurant.
Her eyes quickly turned cold, and she struggled to grab her phone, dialing Cora’s number. “Call the police for me.”
After saying that, Phoebe completely lost strength, and her phone slipped from her hand, falling to the floor. The car swerved out of control and crashed toward the side of the road.
At the villa, Declan heard a loud crash over the phone. His face darkened instantly, and he immediately called Patrick, speaking coldly. “Track Phoebe’s phone. Find out where she is.”
Phoebe woke up again, feeling pain all over her body. Looking down, she realized she was tied to an old chair, her body covered in various wounds, some of which had already scabbed over.
She glanced around and saw that she was in an abandoned warehouse.
The only openings in the warehouse were a few small windows and a door about ten feet away from her.
Phoebe tried to loosen the ropes around her body, but when she moved, she realized she was too weak. There was no way she could untie herself, and without the chair’s support, she would likely fall to the ground.
As Phoebe wondered who had kidnapped her, the door to the warehouse suddenly opened, and two figures walked in.
Phoebe’s eyes flashed with anger when she saw it was Adrian and Felix. “Adrian, so it’s you.”
Adrian sneered. “Yes, Phoebe. If it weren’t for you suppressing me at the company, leaving me no way out, and forcing me to leave, I wouldn’t have ended up like this.”
“Enough with the talking. Bring the contract and have her sign it,” Felix said.

Phoebe’s voice was cold. “What contract?”
“You’ll find out soon enough,” Felix replied.
One of Felix’s men brought over a contract, and Phoebe immediately recognized it as the one Adrian had given her a few days ago. “Have Ms. Greene’s ropes untied.”
Adrian’s eyes flashed with concern. “Mr. Moore, if we untic her, what if she tries to escape?”
Felix was confident. “Don’t worry. The drug’s effect lasts for twenty–four hours. She’s definitely too weak to escape, and we have hundreds of men outside the warehouse. Do you really think one woman could get away?”
Last time in the restaurant, Felix hadn’t been prepared, which was why Phoebe was able to hurt him so badly.
This time, Phoebe was drugged, and Felix had brought hundreds of men with him. There was no way she could escape.
“Alright.” Adrian nodded.
He had his man untie Phoebe’s ropes, and Felix looked at her with a smug expression. “Ms. Greene, if you sign the contract obediently, I might consider sparing your life.”
