Chapter 50
As Evalina and Hugo approached a bar. Evalina stopped in her tracks. “Hugo, I can’t drink. What are we doing here?”
Hugo turned around, a playful smirk on his face. “Who said anything about drinking?”
Evalina rolled her eyes. ‘What’s the point of coming to a bar if you’re not gonna drink?‘ she muttered to herself
It didn’t take long for her to figure out his plan. He didn’t want her to drink–he wanted her to serve him.
Jasper walked in and did a double take when he saw Evalina. “You guys are getting divorced, right? So why are you both here?”
Hugo just waved the bartender away. “Scram. Let Evalina take over
Evalina’s eyes widened. “Seriously?” she asked, pointing at herself.
Anyway, Evalina started pouring drinks for Hugo, who kicked back and relaxed, clearly enjoying the attention.
Sneaky Hugo, what a pervert Evalina thought, but she kept smiling at him.
Jasper was totally baffled. “What’s with the role–play?” he whispered.
Hugo shot him a look. “We’re not married anymore.”
Jasper shook his head. “Didn’t see that one coming. Guess you two are still close even after the divorce, huh?‘ he thought.
Evalina stood there for ages. When Hugo finally got up. Evalina’s eyes lit up. “We good?” she asked hopefully.
Hugo stopped and frowned at her. “Evalina, is serving me really that hard for you?”
Evalina put on her best fake smile. “Nah, man. Loads of ladies would kill to serve you. It’s my honor. I’m stoked and wish I could hang with you all the time.”
Hugo thought she was being a bit too cheesy, but he had to admit it was kinda fun,
“Alright, since you’re so into it, I’ll let you keep on doing it,” Hugo said, grinning.
Evalina rolled her eyes. “What’s this guy’s next move? she muttered under her breath.
Hugo strode up the stairs to the bar’s private rooms, where the real relaxation happened after the downstairs party scene wore thin
He plopped down in a chair, and the waitresses‘ eyes lit up. One started to sashay over, but Hugo’s frown and cold stare froze her in her
Then, he pointed at Evalina “You, come h
here,” he said, his voice carrying a hint of command.
Evalina had anticipated this. She glared at Hugo, that irritating guy. But she’d come this far, and backing out now would mean all her efforts were for nothing. So, with a determined grit of her teeth, she walked over.
Just as she was about to reach him, Hugo waved his hand. “You can’t give a decent massage like that, can you? Shouldn’t you be dressed like the rest of the staff?” he asked, a teasing tone in his voice.
Evalina glanced at the server he was referring to.
