With a cold expression, Celeste replied, “Finish what you’re saying just now.”

Chloe ground her teeth in frustration. This was beyond humiliating. “Do you really need to humiliate me like this, Celeste!” she asked.

Chloe’s face flushed with rage as she shot up and charged at Celeste. “Are you just messing with me?”

‘Oh, I’m going too far? And what is she going to do? If she hadn’t stolen my work, claimed my name, and dragged me through the mud publicly, I wouldn’t even be this mad. This is just karma, but somehow, she’s acting like the victim? Celeste thought

Then Celeste turned and walked away, Chloe’s glare burning into her back. In a rage, Chloe lunged forward, snatching her handbag and tossing it aside.
With a loud crash, all of Celeste’s belongings spilled onto the floor. Her expression darkened as she turned to Chloe and ordered, “Pick it up.”
Instead of complying, Chloe gave her things a hard kick, scattering them further. “You’re about to destroy me, and you still expect me to listen to you?”
“Celeste, if you ruin me, you’ll be making an enemy of the entire Sinclair family. Do you, a penniless nobody, think you can handle our family’s wrath? I’ll ask you one last time, are you really going to destroy me?
So now that playing the victim isn’t working, she’s resorting to threats? Celeste smirked, thinking. Wow, I’m absolutely terrified. “Yes,” Celeste replied icily. “I am going to destroy you.”
Seeing that Celeste still intended to bring her down, Chloe panicked. She’d promised Grant that with 30 million, she could end the plagiarism scandal and make back several times that in just a year.
If Celeste destroyed her now, she’d fail him miserably. Worse, Grant might cut her off entirely if she embarrassed the family online. Meanwhile, Chloe had barely been the Sinclair heiress for three months, and she bouldn’t lose it all now.
