In the council hall of the Snowfield Wolves, candles flickering.
I stood in the center, gray eyes calmly sweeping over each member.
“As a result of the vote,” Chief Elder Martha Zhang announced, “I announce Selene will take over the Eastern Territories as Luna there, co–ruling with Alpha Magnus over the Snowfield wolves.”
Alpha Magnus sits on the throne, knuckles on the armrest, and insidious eyes: “Don’t rejoice too early, white Wolf.
The Eastern territories are barren and chaotic, not as easy to manage as you think.”

“It’s advice.”
On the borders of the eastern Territories, the wind and snow are raging. I inspects the new fortifications and suddenly senses a dark sight.
I stopped. “Come out.”
A silver–gray figure stepped out from behind the rock – Alpha Keal. His fur is no longer shiny, but his back is still straight. The past has faded, showing a bit of desolation.
“What are you doing here?” I asked coldly.
“See if you need any help.” Alpha Keal’s voice was hoarse.
I scoffs. “What can a Worrior do?”
Alpha Keal doesn’t answer, but pulls a roll

of maps out of his arms. “Alpha Damien’s remnants are hiding here.”
I don’t answer. “Intelligence? Or atonement?”
“Both.”
I stared at him for a moment, then finally took the map. “Go away, and don’t let me see you again.”
Alpha Keal bowed his head, turned and disappeared into the snow.
A month later, order gradually returned to the eastern territories. I stood on a high cliff overlooking the rebuilt village, and hurried footsteps could be heard behind me.
“Luna!” A young soldier ran, “We found a pup at the border!”
