Chloe, especially, was famished by now. In a low voice, she said. “There should be plenty of wild chickens and rabbits in the forest. Let’s see if we can catch some.”
“But it’s almost dark… Catching them might be a bit challenging. Benjamin said.
Ryan was on the other side. He pointed toward the beach and suggested, “I wonder if there’s any seafood by the shore. How about we gather some to tide us over for now?”
“Right. If we can’t hunt, we can always eat seafood.” Chloe agreed with a nod.
Suppressing his emotions, Caleb kept pace with them, commenting, “All right. We’ll make do with some seafood tonight We’ll have some meat tomorrow.”
Saying so, the four of them headed toward the seaside.
By the time they reached the seaside, dusk was settling in. Catching the sight of the evening glow on the not–so–distant horizon, Chloe quickly exclaimed, “I want to take a picture.”
“All right. I’ll help you take some photos,” Benjamin said, retrieving his phone to take her picture.
Ryan and Caleb took off their shoes and stepped into the water, only to find that the sea was so clear they could see the bottom. There was not a trace of seafood, not even a single seashell to be seen. They ventured further into the deeper part of the water, but still, there was nothing.
“How could there be none?” Ryan was somewhat taken abac
Caleb had assumed that by the seaside, he would be able to find some seafood. However, to his surprise, there was nothing.
He lifted his gaze, discovering Chloe, clad in a sundress, striking various poses by the sea. Her face was lit up with a smile as she embraced the sea breeze, while Benjamin was busy capturing her joy in photographs.
After a short while, he put away his phone and asked, “Did you catch any?”
“What do you think? Caleb retorted.
Benjamin was somewhat annoyed. After all, couldn’t Caleb and Ryan handle such a trivial matter? However, he only dared to think this, not brave enough to voice it out.
After all, the live broadcast camera was right there, capturing and broadcasting every word and action.
“Is there none at all? Don’t fish and shrimp swim to the shore?” Benjamin voiced his confusion. He quickly stepped forward. only to find not a single edible thing in sight.
At that moment, he realized the gravity of the situation.
If they couldn’t find any food, the few of them staying in the forest for half a mouth would likely starve to death.
If everyone’s embarrassing moments were to be broadcasted, it would be his family’s reputation at stake.
“What do we do, then? What are we having for dinner tonight?” Chloe was engrossed in looking at her photos when she heard their conversation. Only then did she stride over.
After she heard their conversation, her mood instantly became heavy
Why don’t we first
first head to the shore and see if there are any animals around at night? If there aren’t any, we can look for some fruits to eat, suggested Caleb.
They had no choice but to nod in agreement.
Once they returned to the shore, they searched around only to find not only was there a lack of any animals, but they also

A netizen commented: What? Everyone else is out looking for food. Why is she over there flaunting herself?

Another person posted: Is Chloe crazy? She had Caleb scouring the sea for food, while she was busy snapping photos. Someone else commented: Am I the only one who thinks that Chloe and Benjamin are here to fall in love! Since the moment they joined the crew, they were always hugging and holding each other if there weren’t others around, would they have gone straight to bed?
Another netizen responded: I’m also curious. Are those two who share the same last name in a romantic relationship? Are they lovers!
Someone replied: Watch your tongue upstairs, our dear Chloe is simply too innocent. She still retains her childlike purity, unlike you all who only know how to scheme and plot.
The fans watching the live stream immediately started bickering with each other.
Meanwhile, by the seaside…
The group made their way back, surrounded by countless mosquitoes and bugs darting around them.
“It’s so itchy. Why are there so many mosquitoes?” Chloe was left dumbfounded.
She kept kneading her shoulders, only to find her arms becoming the next victim. Even her calves started to itch, driving her to the point of frenzy as she scratched relentlessly. Her fair skin was instantly marred by several scratch marks
“Go and change your clothes first. It’s a good thing I brought some mosquito repellent,” Benjamin said in a hushed tone.
The others hadn’t heard Gabrielle’s advice at the time, so they didn’t put on their long–sleeved shirts. By noon, their arms were scratched. Even after treating the injuries, they didn’t pay much attention to it
Several people had been bitten, and they hurriedly went back to change their clothes.
When they emerged once again, the sky outside had already turned pitch black. The surrounding darkness was so deep that they could barely see their own hands in front of them. Faint sounds of something calling out could be heard in the distance. making them hesitant to venture out further.
“What should we do? I’m so hungry,” Chloe said in a low voice.
A few people were sitting in a cave, using their flashlights for illumination. The cave was yet to be cleaned and was somewhat
messy.
“What’s that delicious smell?” Benjamin caught a whiff of something enticing in the air, his stomach growling loudly in response. He quickly got up, flashlight in hand, and took a few steps outside
He noticed, not too far ahead, there was a glow of fire.
“There’s a fire over there. It’s probably Team B having their meal. Let’s go and check it out,” Benjamin suggested in a hushed
tone.
Upon seeing this, the other three also rose and left.
They followed the glow of the fire and discovered Gabrielle, Brendan, Nadia, and Jennifer. The four of them were gathered around the fire pit, eating and sharing laughs.
The enticing aroma was wafting from their direction. As the few people approached, they discovered that they had already finished eating.
The ground was littered with numerous fish bones, while the soup in the pot continued to emit a rich aroma, causing their stomachs to rumble incessantly
“Why did you guys eat without us?” Benjamin was taken aback.
Surprisingly, they not only grilled fish but also prepared a fish stew. Judging by the bones scattered on the ground, it was clear they had enjoyed a satisfying meal. There was plenty of food.
Upon hearing his voice, Nadia turned around, somewhat puzzled.

Originally, Nadia didn’t have much interaction with Benjamin. However, when they treated Gabrielle poorly, she naturally didn’t show them a friendly face.
Had it not been for Gabrielle today, she would have been bitten by a snake already. If that snake had been venomous, she likely would have lost her life right there. She made a mental note of this act of kindness.
When others sought to cause trouble, she would immediately step in to defend Gabrielle.
“You! We just arrived, and we’re unfamiliar with the area. We all came together, so you could at least look out for us. If something happened to us out of hunger, you’d be implicated too, wouldn’t you?” Benjamin stated matter–of–factly.
His words inevitably made Brendan burst into laughter.
“Is this guilt–tripping! In the afternoon, your group tried to bully Gabrielle, and now you’re questioning us. What’s this? Just because we’re on the same show, we’re supposed to cater to you? When we first joined the crew, the director made it clear that we were divided into two separate teams, unrelated to each other. You guys couldn’t find anything to eat, so you thought you’d mooch off us?”
Brendan saw right through their act.
Benjamin stood there, feeling somewhat awkward.
Unexpectedly, his innocent desire to snag some food was interpreted as such shamelessness.
After all, he was a young master, and no one had ever dared to disrespect him like this before
“Don’t get the wrong idea. We just came to check on you, thinking you might not have eaten yet. We thought we could all brainstorm together.”
