Chapter 15
“Please take me to the main hospital. I am working there. They will take care of me. The ambulances are so busy all the time. I am well enough to bear the
way.
The officers stared at her for a while, wondering if she was a doctor, but finally, they nodded and helped her get into the car. It was hard for Olivia to pretend her body was heavy, but she let the officers help her sit in their car.
While they were on their way, one officer returned her wallet, which he found beside her. When she searched for it, she realized her bank card was missing.
“My bank card is missing. The officer who sat on the passenger side turned to face her.
“We’ll find the guys,
don’t
worry. Are you well enough to call your bank and cancel it?”
“Yes,” She said she wanted to take her phone, but she also realised that it was missing.
“My phone is missing as well,
The officer took a mobile phone out of his pocket, and after they asked her which back she had her account with, they called the bank for her.
She entered the details for the virtual assistant, and finally, her card was cancelled successfully. Olivia didn’t worry at all. The robbers took the cash from her wallet, but that wasn’t too much. She had many bank accounts and kept money in safes in a few places where she had lived before. It was just part of the game to act like a human would.
When the officers took her to the hospital and saw the receptionists appalled faces, they assumed Olivia had told the truth. The hospital staff worried about her,
“Olivia, what has happened? Are you all right?” The receptionist ran to her.
“I’m fine. A few guys attacked me, but I am fine.” She repeated. To get examined by one of her colleagues was the least she wanted. How would they check her pulse? She panicked when the receptionist returned behind the desk and got the phone. Olivia desperately tried to find a solution. She had someone on her mind, but would he help her? He hated her so much that she could imagine he would enjoy seeing her ran away after, her colleagues would start to talk about her. That would satisfy him, and he would continue working without seeing her daily. Olivia just answered her question when she heard his voice behind her.
“Clavia? What happened to you?”
Olivia looked at Asher with a hint of fear when he looked at her with worry. But when his expression did not change, she felt calmed a little. Even if he hated her just because of what she was, he seemed to be in the game this time.
“She had been attacked. They kicked her side and her head hudly. I have seen no one be fine after a kick in the head like that.”
Asher took his LED pen light and checked Olivia’s eyes, which did not react to the light all. However, the officers didn’t see that.
“Good,” He said, then he asked her to follow his index finger. She d
did.
“Excellent.” He said with a smile of amusement, which only Olivia noticed. “Liv, you know this.” He lifted is pen light up and lingered it from the side closer into her vision, but Olivia early hit it out of his hand with a sudden move
“I am line, Asher.” Her voice was hard to control. She would have shouted at Asher to stop making fun of her if they had been in a different situation
Olivia
Asher grinned while looking at the officers, who frowned at the scene. He put his palm on Olivia’s head and patted it. That movement of Asher angereid
but she needed to lade her feelings
“She is a strong–headed trauma surgeon, gentlemen. She is fine. I’m going to run some tests with her. You can leave het with me.” He smiled at the officers “We need to know if she wants to make a report.”
Olivia said, “No, I don’t want to make a report, I am fine, just get my phone back, which angered the officers. Asher solved the problems, but that angered Olivia again.
