Chapter 24

But then she thought about it more. For her, acting as death wasn’t a challenge at all, and she was sure she could manage to escape from the hospital. It would be morbid, but she could do that.
Asher put the phone down on the other side. He searched secretly for her number. Her voice in his head calmed his wolf. His wolf never communicated with him. He did not even know him, but now, he was frustrated and did not let his human be. Asher knew why it was. Usually, he did not let his beast sense the outside world when he was out, but this time, he did. His wolf had liked Olivia a lot since he first saw her. He wanted to be close to her, and it seemed like Olivia liked to cuddle with him
His wolf was always chained down, meeting no one, never experiencing kindness. Now he did. And Olivia showed him how good that was. And his wolf needed it. He longed for the hands that caressed his fur and the care that Olivia fed and kept him with. His wolf sensed Olivia’s suffering. And he wanted his human to help her. His wolf couldn’t help Olivia, and he suffered from that.
Asher know what his wolf expected him to do, but it was against his will. He did not want to help a vampire, a bloodsucker, even if Olivia proved she was different. She was still one of them. A creature that should have never existed on Earth.
Asher worked all day long. He felt tired, but he wanted to see his father. He sat in his car and drove to the Blue Moon pack. The pack’s guards ignored them as usual, but he did not care.
“Hi, Asher.” He stopped when a familiar voice greeted him. He just walked inside the main door, and she was around him already. Asher looked at her. This time, she was dressed in a casual dress. The long, dark green dress followed her perfect lines gently. The top left her chest free, only covering what was necessary. Other werewolves probably got her naked inside their imaginations many times, but Asher knew how she looked without clothes. His brain showed pictures of their nights together, but he woke up instantly when he heard his wolf growl. That was the first time he heard his wolf inside his mind.
“Asher.” Lucy smiled while she walked towards him. “I organized a special dinner in the dining room. Would you like to join?”
“I came to see my father,” he stated,
“Arthur is there as well
Asher swallowed.
“I just would like to check on him. I want to see if he is fine.”
Lacy lowered her gaze with a sad smile.
“I thought we reconciled Sie looked straight into Asher’s eyes.
am not refusing to talk to you. I told you not to expect anything else.”
Lucy
shook her head, still smiling
“Come with me. I will lead you to your father.”
She turned around, clearly wanting Asher to follow her. Asher sighed and followed his ex–mate. Lucy walked seductively, and Asher was clear about what did she want. However, it only discussed him, instead of turning him on. When they reached the dining rooms, his eyes widened for a moment. They celebrated. He wondered what it was about
“Son. Come here.” Arthur told his son when he noticed him standing at the door.
He walked inside the room, feeling extremely bad. The beta and an old Delta family sat at the table with his father. Lucy’s father could have killed him with his gaze as usual, and the others just looked at him like an outsider.
