Chapter 6
Ella
Ella and Tina just stared at the cash in shock. Neither of them knew what to say at that moment.
“This should be more than enough to cover whatever money he gave me,” Anna said, keeping her tone even.
She flicked her wrist and threw the cash at their feet. They could hear the snickering of those around them. Ella felt read in the face; fury was going through he and she almost lost control of her wolf.
She straightened her stance and grabbed the money off the ground. She was trying to gather whatever pride she had left. She shoved the money in her breast and turned away. She had nothing to say to this gold digger.
Tina followed her as she made her way through the crowd; she spotted Joseph across the party.
“Joseph…” Ella cried as they approached. “Your ex–luna made a complete fool of us.”
Joseph narrowed his eyes at his sister.
“What did you do?” He muttered, sounding annoyed.
Ella was shocked at his accusatory tone.
“Nothing,” she huffed. “We were simply just talking to her. She made a fortune for selling her body and she threw her money in our faces.”
“It’s true,” Tina chimed in. “She was awful to us.”
“Leave her alone,” Joseph said without emotions crossing his face. “Don’t antagonize her anymore.”
He turned and walked in the opposite direction.
(Joseph)
The crowd began gathering around the dance floor; Joseph pushed through the crowd of people. Leaving his sister and Tina behind. He only stopped for a moment once he got a glimpse of what everyone else was gathering around to see.
It was Anna and Prince David. They were dancing beautifully in the center of the dance floor. Joseph never knew Anna could dance and yet she was dancing perfectly and so carefree.
“Why didn’t we know she could dance?” James asked within Joseph.
Joseph didn’t have an answer for him because he wasn’t sure either. He had no idea she could dance, and he has no idea what else she was capable of doing. He could feel that James was bothered.
Joseph couldn’t help but look at Anna’s slender body as she was wrapped up in the arms of the prince. Their bodies swayed with the music in the blurred lights, and the ruby–like wine swayed gently in the crystal glass she held.
“Hello handsome,” a woman said from beside him
She was a noblewoman and he had to admit that she was quite beautiful. However, he wasn’t interested in making small talk with just anybody. She batted her long lashes and placed her delicate hands on his arm.
“Care to dance with me?” She asked, a small smile forming on her glossed lips.
“Her smell is off,” James hissed. “It’s making me feel sick.”
Joseph pulled his arm away from her and looked back at the dance floor in Anna’s direction.
11 don’t think so,” he muttered, not meeting her eyes.
She pouted and took a step away from him.
“Why not?” She asked, sounding irritated.
“I don’t like the smell of your body,” he said truthfully.

She gasped, she looked like she wanted to smack him. Joseph almost dared her to do so.
*Screw you,” she finally hissed, shoving past him. “I hope you stay single forever.”
Joseph watched as she stormed away and disappeared through the crowd. He rose his eyebrows, confused by their interaction. He didn’t think he did anything wrong; he grew up always being painfully honest because he figured that was better than telling a lie.
Most respected his honesty.
He pulled his eyes away and turned back to Anna. He saw David kissing Ann’s cheek as they parted ways. David went to get another round of drinks while Anna was heading back to their table. Joseph found that to be a good opportunity to speak with her alone.
“Anna,” he said, catching up to her.
She paused and glanced up at him; her eyes were big and beautiful. It was like he was looking into them for the first time.
“Would you like to dance?” He asked her.
She frowned, still keeping her eyes on him.
“No thanks,” she muttered as she turned away from him.
He grabbed onto her arm quickly and she snapped her head around to glare at him.
“Unhand me,” she ordered.
“Just one dance,” he asked again, releasing her arm right away.
