Chapter 36
Ella
It had cost a fortune for the tickets to the fashion exhibit, but this was a once–in–a–lifetime opportunity. They couldn’t miss it for anything. Merida only does her fashion shows in the area once every few years. She lives across the kingdom and doesn’t come down here that often. Merida was Ella’s fashion idol and all she wanted was to get an autograph from her.
She was excited to see the beautiful gowns that Merida had created; this show had a wedding dress theme.
Tina and Joseph came to the fashion show too; she wasn’t sure why Joseph bothered to come. He hated things like this, but he still insisted that he accompanied them. Not that Tina would complain; it was obvious to anyone with eyes how Tina truly felt about Joseph. She was in love with him; the problem was Joseph didn’t love her in that kind of way. He thought of her as a little sister because he’s known her for most of her life.
It was quite sad really.
As the show started, Ella, Tina, and Joseph found their seats at the front of the room. Ella was shaking with excitement until she saw who the first model
was.
“Anna?” Ella whispered.
On the runway was Anna and she was wearing a beautiful wedding gown created by Merida herself. It made no sense that Anna was a model for this show.
“What the hell is she doing here?” Tina sneered; Ella could feel the anger going through Tina’s body and she couldn’t blame her. It was infuriating that Anna was always around.
Ella couldn’t look away from Anna; she was starting to see red. It was like the entire exhibit was lit up with Anna’s beauty and Ella couldn’t accept that.
“Selling her body of course,” Ella snickered back. Both girls chuckled.
“She’s trying to get new customers so she’s posing as a model,” Tina laughed.
At that point from across the room, Ella spotted the King and one of his sons, Prince David. They were both watching Anna with admiration and then Ella realized how Anna was able to be here a model.
“Of course,” Ella muttered. “She’s fucking the prince. How could I forget? That’s how why she’s modeling. He must have pulled strings for her to be here…”
Tina followed her gaze over to the King and Prince David; she too rolled her eyes.
“That’s pathetic,” Tina muttered.
“Enough,” Joseph hissed to them. “I’ve told you before to stop speaking ill of her.”
They both silenced; it was clear that Joseph had enough of them and their gossip. Tina looked uncomfortable for a moment. She turned away from them and hid her face; Ella assumed it was because she was trying to keep herself from crying. But once her hand fell to her side, Ella saw blood trickling down from
her ear.
It dripped down her cheek and landed on her white blouse. Ella gasped as Tina’s breathing grew shaky. She reached her finger to her ear and stared at the blood that stained her fingertips.
“I’m not feeling well…” she breathed.
Before Tina could say anything more, she was already falling to the ground.
Joseph gasped and fell to the ground beside her. He tried to lift her, but she cried out in pain. Anna stopped at the end of the runway once she realized what was happening. Her face didn’t seem concerned though; she looked more annoyed that they were there.
Joseph looked up at her with pleading eyes.
“It’s her condition,” Joseph cried to her. “It’s returning. She needs your blood to survive.”
Anna said nothing; she narrowed her eyes and stared at him with disbelief crossing her face.
*Please, Anna,” Joseph cried again. “Your blood is healing. She needs your blood to survive!”

I couldn’t believe what he was asking me. I was in shock.
He seriously wanted me to give Tina more blood? After everything that has happened?
I couldn’t keep the anger off my face as I stepped down the runway.
“Tina, if you are planning on dying, remember to not let your blood stain the floor,” I sneered at her.
She looked taken aback by my response and buried her face into Joseph’s chest. He held onto her tightly; murmuring something I couldn’t hear.
“Joseph,” she said as she peered up at him. “It seems I will be with my brother soon enough. Don’t worry, when I see him, I will tell him how well you’ve treated me all these years.”
