“Only Gabrielle could stoop so low as to leave a Bluetooth speaker outside Seavers Group for those haters and paparazzi to listen in. Her heart has always been dark,” Felix also commented.
Clearly, he did not like his biological sister.
After all, she hadn’t grown up with him. Even though they were related by blood, to him, she was still a stranger.
“She even got hold of call records. She’s not someone to be underestimated. We’ve been fooled by her all these years,” Benjamin continued.
Only Zachary sat there silently, puffing on a cigarette.
He was, after all, a businessman–he had brains. At this moment, he was still shaken from that man’s warning gaze, fully aware he had just barely escaped death.
At that moment, Zachary’s phone began to vibrate and ring.
After answering the call, he lifted his gaze to meet Marilyn’s. In a low voice, he said, “Mom, Father Sebastian believes that someone may have cursed you, which could explain your string of bad luck.”
“He said it’s definitely someone very close to you!” Zachary added.
No sooner had he finished speaking than the hospital room fell silent.
“Looks like it really was Gabrielle,” Chloe began in a flustered tone. “After she got married, Mom met with misfortune, and we did too. There’s no one else it could be.
She seemed desperate to shift the blame onto Gabrielle.
These people, who had always showered her with affection, did not notice her panic at all.
Boom! Lightning flashed outside the window, startling everyone.
Suddenly, there was a loud crash at the window. Lightning had struck, splitting the window open. The bed was positioned next to that window, and as the lightning shattered it, it surged toward Marilyn.
“Ah!” Before Marilyn could even react, she was struck by lightning.
She felt her blood freeze within her veins, her body wracked with intense pain. Her hair stood on end as she was electrified, and smoke began to rise from her body. Even her fingertips started to char.
Following that, another boom rang out from outside as a second bolt of lightning came crashing toward her.
The hanging IV bottle nearby shattered, sending shards of glass flying. Benjamin, who was seated closest, grunted and tried to dodge.
But the glass still pierced his arm, and blood started gushing out.
“Mom! Mom!” Felix rushed forward, pushing the hospital bed to one side.
Gabrielle stood outside the door, her almond–shaped eyes slightly narrowed as she took in the scene before her. Marilyn was smoking all over, foam spilling from her mouth.
“Don’t worry. This is just the beginning. Gabrielle whispered.
The reason for coming to the hospital was to witness this spectacle!
She was curious to see just how unlucky Marilyn would become without the protective charm of her emerald pendant.
She also wanted to make Marilyn realize how much bad luck that pendant had warded off for her all along.

Ah it hurts. It hurts so much” Chloe whimpered.
When she lifted her head, her pale face bore two bright–red handprints. Her cheeks were already swollen.
The three Seavers brothers turned and were surprised to see her swollen checks. Even Marilyn, still smoking from the lightning looked weakly toward her
Then came heavy footsteps from outside the door.
With a loud clatter, the hospital room door was kicked open again. Gabrielle’s tall figure stood outside.
“What happened here? Did you all get struck by lightning Gabrielle feigned surprise as she asked, her gaze seLARGE
Chloe’s swollen face.
Gabrielle appeared somewhat satisfied, nodding her head. She stepped forward and gently pinched Chloe’s face.
Chloe winced in pain. It felt as if her skull was about to shaner from the harsh pinch. The nerve–wracking agony rendered her immobile, saliva continuously spilling from the corners of her mouth.
“What’s wrong with you! Drooling in front of me! This is no different from wetting your pants in public, Gabrielle said, withdrawing her hand in disgust.
As if recalling something she chuckled softly and said, ‘ll talk to a psychiatrist for you–maybe there’s something wrong with your brain. I mean, who else drools like this if they re normal”
Her words relentlessly provoked Chloe, pushing her into a furious rage out of sheer humiliation.
Images flashed through her mind–Gabrielle’s arrogant face, the way Gabrielle flaunted being with that man, and how she herself was nearly crippled when he ran into her.
“Ah. I’m going to kill your Chloe screamed, lunging forward in fury
Beture she could even touch Gabrielle’s face, her hand was caught mud–air. In a swih countermove, Gabrielle seized her by the neck, lifting her entire body off the ground.
“L–Let me go” Chloe said in terror, staring at her in fear
Her feet dangled off the ground flailing in the air as Cabrielle tightened her grip Chloe was suffocating eyes rolling back while reaching desperately toward the Seavers brothers
“Guys… S–Save me,” Chloe cried out weakly, full of pain.
She felt the terrifying approach of death and couldn’t understand when Gabrielle had become so strong. She kept trying to claw at Gabrielle’s face, but Gabrielle just tightened her grip even harder
“Ah!” Chloe screamed in agony
Her screams echoed through the room. The three Seavers brothers took a moment before supping out of their shock.
“Gabrielle, what are you doing? Let go of Chloe!” Upon seeing the situation, Benjamin hastily rushed forward.
But before he could touch Gabrielle, she had skillfully flung Chloe into him. Chloe crashed into him, knocking him over.
