He held the steering wheel tightly, watching as she turned away with an air of nonchalance, her bodyguard respectfully trailing behind her.
“Gabrielle, just you wait.” Zachary gritted his teeth as he spoke. “I refuse to believe that you’re not afraid of the Zechman family’s suspicion over who you are or my threats. I’ll make sure you pay a heavy price for this.”
He watched resentfully as her figure disappeared from his sight. The bodyguard then firmly closed the door behind her.
At that moment, his phone began to vibrate.
