“However, let’s see when the time comes. Who knows? If I suddenly feel like it one day, I might just stay in this circle. It’s not set in stone.” Gabrielle murmured.
When she returned from her reincarnation, her mind was consumed with nothing but thoughts of revenge.
Wealth was nothing more than a material possession to her, and fame held no importance either.
At that moment, her phone buzzed. Gabrielle glanced at it, her gaze lingering on the message displayed on the screen with some surprise. She hadn’t expected to receive a message from Jonathan.
Jonathan’s message read: Will you not be coming back tonight
After a long while, Gabrielle replied: No.
Jonathan: Stay safe.
Gabrielle: All right.
Jonathan didn’t respond again. She stared blankly at the screen for a good while before finally putting her phone away.
“Did you hear? Caleb’s resources are gone!” Jennifer couldn’t help but gossip. “Also, there’s a rumor about him and Chloe spending a night together. Do you think there’s any truth to it? Could they really be an item?”
After they interacted and became familiar with each other, she became less reserved.
“Chloe doesn’t seem like the type to fall for Caleb. Given her ambitions, one would expect her to set her sights on a wealthy man at the very least. Caleb, being an illegitimate child, would be left with nothing if he were to be discarded by the affluent family, Chloe wouldn’t stick around with a penniless illegitimate child trying to start from scratch. Moreover, considering the type of people the members of the Seavers family are, do you think they would allow her to marry Caleb? The Seavers family prioritizes profits above all else. They’ve done plenty of shady things for money behind the scenes, Nadia analyzed sofily.
No sooner had she finished speaking than the doorbell rang.
“Who is it?” Jennifer asked, slightly taken aback.
Subconsciously, she turned her head, looking toward the door.
Outside the room, a doorbell had been installed for the convenience of the staff. They could press it twice to alert the people
inside
Yet, the doorbell wasn’t pressed twice. Instead, it was continuously ringing, its sound reverberating endlessly throughout the
room.
“Could they be inspecting rooms? Could it be a raid? That’s unlikely, right? We’re three women here, so the police wouldn’t raid our room during a sweep.” Nadia looked utterly bewildered.
She then quickly got up and headed outside.
As soon as she opened the door, she saw a figure standing outside, slightly intoxicated. The strong scent of alcohol hit her nose. Upon seeing the figure outside, Nadia was taken aback
It was always said that one shouldn’t talk all of others behind their back, and there was no denying the truth in that statement
“Caleb, what are you doing here?” Nadia called out warily. Speak of the devil!
She deliberately raised her voice, ensuring that Cabrielle and Jennifer could hear her.
Caleb remained silent, merely lifting his foot to stride inside. Nadia, however, was frantic. She immediately tried to shut the door with all her might, but Caleb had already squeezed half his body inside.
In her haste, she spun around and forcefully thrust her rear toward him.

“Argh!” A painful grunt escaped from Caleb, his eyes blazing a fierce red. He gripped the door frame tightly, his gaze locked onto Nadia. In a cold voice, he demanded, “Have Gabrielle come out to see me.”
No sooner had he finished speaking than Gabrielle and Jennifer had already walked over.
The lips of the duo twitched when they saw Nadia leaning against the door, forcefully sandwiching Caleb between the door and the door frame.
When Caleb saw Gabrielle, he exerted almost all his strength, wanting to rush over. Nadia was anxious and wanted to push harder, but she was held back by Gabrielle.
“Gabby, ignore him, Nadia urged anxiously. “Don’t fall for his tricks.”
While she was watching the recording of the variety show, she saw his ambiguous interactions with Chloe. At that moment, she knew that man was no good.
Gabrielle gave her shoulder a pat, stepped forward, and stood there, a smile playing on her face as she gazed at Caleb. Her eyes were filled with a harsh and ruthless light.
Caleb then strode forward, seizing Gabrielle’s arm.
“It was you, wasn’t it? You did it, didn’t you?” Caleb’s voice was laced with urgency.
The previous day, he had traced Gabrielle’s phone location. What happened afterward, he couldn’t recall at all. Unbeknownst to him, he had landed himself in a major mess.
“What exactly did I do?” Gabrielle asked with a cold, mocking laugh.
Caleb’s lips moved slightly, but he found himself at a loss for words.
He couldn’t possibly admit to installing a tracking device on her phone. That would make him a criminal, subject to arrest. The frustration building within him had no outlet, leaving him to swallow the bitter pill of his actions in silence.
As Gabrielle was speaking, she swiftly slapped his hand and pulled her hand away from his
Caleb was forcefully flung by her, his body colliding heavily against the door frame. Gabrielle quickly advanced, firmly gripping his collar. The smile on her face deepened.
“You…” Caleb was startled by her cold sneer. His body involuntarily shivered, and he instantly sobered up halfway.
“Are you asking if I intentionally led you to the unfinished building, or are you asking if it was my influence that made you call Mrs. Lefevre, intentionally revealing your own affairs?” Gabrielle asked.
Once those words fell, Caleb narrowed his eyes. He hadn’t expected Gabrielle to know.
In an instant, he felt a chill run down his spine. Any doubts he had before were then thrown to the back of his mind. At that moment, he inexplicably wanted to flee, but unfortunately, he was forcefully held back by Gabrielle.
With a loud thud, she fiercely flung him into the suite.
Gabrielle swiftly closed the door behind her. Spouting Caleb as he struggled to rise from the ground, she stepped forward, an icy aura radiating from her that forced him to continually retreat.
That sense of fear permeated his body, seeping into every nerve.
*Did you put a tracker on my phone, trying to monitor my every move?” Gabrielle asked coldly.
Nadia and Jennifer were both taken aback, unable to believe what they were seeing. Their eyes were filled with shock and disbelief.
“You” Caleb was dumbstruck.
Moments earlier, his phone had suddenly vibrated. It had pinpointed Cabrielle’s location, and using his connections, he had

“Did you do this on purpose? Did you deliberately lure me here?” Caleb’s deep voice trembled in fear.
Gabrielle chuckled softly, a playful arch in her brow as she asked, “What else would it be?”

“Gabrielle, you despicable woman. How dare you scheme against me? Do you even know who I am? I’m the second young master of the Lefevre family! How dare you plot against me?” Caleb clenched his fists in anger.
He picked himself up from the ground, charging toward Gabrielle.
Before he could even reach her, Gabrielle had already kicked him fiercely.
With a thud. Caleb was sent flying by her kick, landing hard half a meter away. He collided with the corner of a nearby table, and he clutched his side in pain. The pain was so intense that it brought him to his knees.
“Does it hurt? It should,” Gabrielle said, looking down at him.
A hint of amusement sparkled in her eyes, yet the smile didn’t quite reach the depths of her gaze.
Looking at his face, it reminded her of her previous life. He had manipulated her emotionally, causing her self–confidence to deteriorate. Eventually, she fell into a deep depression.
Yet, he joined forces with Chloe, pushing her to a state of fear and timidity. Ultimately, they suppressed her into depression, and under the final push from the Seavers family, she met a tragic end.
The resentment in Gabrielle’s eyes grew increasingly intense, causing Caleb to retreat in fear, eventually falling heavily to the ground.
