At that moment, to say she wasn’t flustered would be a lie.

Caleb grew restless, his hand slipping beneath the blanket, tracing the length of her leg with a slow, deliberate touch.
Clearly, he wanted to take things further.
“It’s so nice.” Caleb murmured softly.
He leaned his body toward her, resting his head on her shoulder, appearing as if he had completely passed out.
Chloe tried to remove his hand from under her skirt, but he clung tightly to her leg, refusing to let go. She dared not move recklessly, fearing she might be discovered.
“How could this happen? Wasn’t it supposed to be a love sigil! To ensure his unwavering loyalty to me, to be at my beck and call?” Chloe muttered under her breath.
She was too anxious.
Fearing that Gabrielle might outshine her, she knew she could only rely on her own charm to turn the tide.
She had to make sure Caleb was completely smitten with her–only then would others believe he was head over heels in love with her.
Charm was the best recognition and proof she had.
But Caleb was acting like he was in heat, desperate to touch her–leaving her a little flustered.
It was one thing to deal with this on a plane, but if he ever tried something like that during a live variety show, the fallout would be unimaginable,
After a two–hour flight, they arrived at their destination. By then, it was already eleven o’clock
“All right! Tearn A and Team B, your vehicles have been assigned. Load your luggage yourselves and follow the car’s GPS to your destination.” Patrick instructed.
The car keys were handed to Chloe and Gabrielle
After receiving the car keys, they immediately loaded their luggage into the car.
“Should we grab something to eat before we go?” Gabrielle asked, glancing at the blazing sun outside before turning back to
the others.
Seeing the situation, Chloe perked up, car keys in hand. Her voice was full of excitement as she suggested, “Why don’t we just grab some snacks for the road and figure things out once we get there?”
“Sure, Benjamin quickly agreed.
He didn’t even want to see Gabrielle, let alone arrive earlier than Team B, which would have given her more camera exposure
“I agree,” said Caleb, “after all, we’re unfamiliar with the place. It’s a good idea to get there first and get to know the area before making any plans.”
He was suffering from a severe headache, finding some relief only when he went along with what Chloe was saying.
“Let’s go then, I’ll drive Secing this, Tristian quickly took the car keys.
Once they finished deliberating, they immediately drove away.
The photographers and staff from Team A, who had initially planned to go for a meal, found themselves having to follow them. They drove after them. ensuring they could continue the live broadcast.

a pasta
The food at the airport wasn’t particularly appetizing, so they opted for something simpler. Everyone headed toward a restaurant, ordering some spaghetti aglio e olio and minestrone soup for themselves.
Team A seems to be in such a rush to get there, perhaps they’re trying to familiarize themselves with the terrain? From what I can tell, this place is in the mountainous region,” said Jennifer.
When Gabrielle took out the document bag and opened it, she was somewhat surprised by the destination written on it.
“It seems to be deep in the mountainous region, Gabrielle said in a low voice. “Even if the production crew hadn’t blocked our mobile signals, I doubt we’d have been able to connect to the internet”
As she enjoyed her pasta, Nadia turned her head to glance over.
“Is it that remote? Should we buy some things before we go?” she asked in a low voice.
The director, however, waved his hand dismissively and said, “We’ve allocated a budget for each of you, a total of two hundred dollars per person. It’s meant to last a week. If you run out, that’s it.”
“As for the rest, figure it out yourselves, just make sure not to use your own money. The director washed his hands of the
matter.
Gabrielle fell silent, quietly eating her pasta.
Everyone ate quickly, and after finishing, they all returned to the car.
“I’ll take the wheel, you guys take a break,” Brendan said as he took the map from Cabrielle.
Nadia and Jennifer raised their hands in agreement and headed for the backseat, leaving Gabrielle with no choice but to take the passenger seat–Brendan, naturally, ended up behind the wheel.
A moment later, Cabrielle’s pupils constricted. She turned to Brendan and said, “Slow down a bit later.”
“What’s wrong?” Brendan, gripping the steering wheel, became somewhat anxious.
“It looks like it’s going to rain soon. I’m not sure if there might be landslides or falling rocks on the road. This mountain path hasn’t been maintained for years, it feels a bit dangerous,” Gabrielle said in a low voice.
Her words instantly invigorated the two who had previously been nochling off.
“All right” Brendan quickly nodded in agreement.
With the SUV weighed down by all their luggage–and Gabrielle’s constant.reminiders–Brendan didn’t dare to speed. He kept a steady pace of sixty mph for the entire drive..
It was roughly a three–hour journey to the village.
The car had only made it halfway when the sky abruptly darkened, shrouded in ominous clouds. A thunderclap echoed lightning flickered, as if the heavens were on the verge of collapsing
“It’s really going to rain, Nadia said, startled.
She quickly turned her head, looking out the car window, watching as the rain up ahead pelted down like hailstones.
Pull over, stop inside the tunnel up ahead,” Gabrielle said in a hushed tone.
No sooner had she finished speaking, than Brendan immediately drove off, pressing hard on the accelerator. However, the rain was so heavy he could barely see the road ahead, which made him somewhat flustered
“Don’t panic, there’s no car ahead,” Gabrielle said softly.
Fortunately, Brendan was an experienced driver. He quickly steadied the direction and drove into the tunnel. The vehicle of

Suddenly, a massive boulder came tumbling down, crashing straight onto the path below. The impact shattered the roadside railing.
“It seems the weather’s taken a turn for the worse. Quickly notify the vehicles ahead to stop. Patrick said, clearly shaken.
After Gabrielle got out of the car, she noticed Patrick’s anxious demeanor. She said. “I just sent a message in the group chat, warning Team A to be careful because the rain could be dangerous, but they didn’t respond.”
“Darn it, I’m calling the crew.” Patrick exclaimed in frustration.
Immediately, a call was made. However, it took quite a while before the call was finally answered.
“The roads are dangerous with the rain now. Find a safe spot to pull over and stop for a while before we continue.” Patrick commanded.
However, the crew on the other end looked visibly frustrated. Holding his phone, he spoke in a low voice. “After getting Gabrielle’s message, I immediately informed Team A” he said, exasperated. “Tristian claimed he used to race cars overseas and had a thing for speed. He insisted roads like these wouldn’t be a problem for him.”
“Where’s Team A now? Have you guys caught up?” The director was getting anxious.
Unexpectedly, as soon as things started heating up, Team A wanted to steal the spotlight. Were they asking for trouble?
“The people from Team A have disappeared from the camera.” Jennifer quickly grabbed her phone and entered the live stream room, watching as Team A’s car sped off into the distance.
The production crew’s vehicle couldn’t keep up!
Thankfully, inside the vehicle of Team A, there was a camera. The lens shook continuously, and the faces of Team A members soon appeared in front of the camera
“There’s no need to overreact, we’re doing just fine! You guys in Team B are just timid, we in Team A aren’t afraid,” Benjamin said with a smirk.
He gestured toward the camera.
“Exactly What’s there to fear about a heavy rain? We are the invincible Team A, akin to gods,” Caleb chimed in.
Without thinking, his hand reached toward Chloe’s thigh, his body leaning forward to avoid the camera.
