There were four dishes, all rarely found in restaurants, but each one filled the air with an irresistible, savory fragrance.
“It looks delicious,” Jennifer remarked.
A few people sat down, and Brendan tasted the spiced mashed yams. It was soft and fluffy, to his surprise, and the aroma filled his mouth after the first bite. He murmured, “You can actually mash yams? This is my first time trying it. It’s really good.”
“Of course, you can mash them. Besides being used in braised pork, yam can be made into a dessert. I found these by the creek when I ventured into the woods this morning! I brought some back. If it gets too hot at noon, we can make some dessert, Gabrielle exclaimed.
Nadia was still somewhat sleepy, resting her cheek on her hand as she gazed at Gabrielle.
They were having breakfast when a piercing scream echoed from next door.
“Running a fever?” someone asked softly.
Benjamin’s complexion wasn’t looking too good, which startled him enough to scramble out of bed. He watched as Caleb’s face turned deathly pale, devoid of color. If it weren’t for the warmth he could still feel from him, he would have thought that he was dead.
“How could this happen? All I had last night was some stale bread, nothing else,” Tristian said.
They helped Caleb to sit up and brought him some water, which he took a few sips of.
Upon hearing their voices, Chloe hastily rushed over in her nightgown. Her sleepwear was a strappy dress, and she hadn’t put on any undergarments, making her look somewhat revealing.
She didn’t have time to worry about anything else and quickly headed to the neighboring room.
When she pushed the door open, she noticed something was off about Caleb’s expression. Quickly stepping forward, she asked. “What’s wrong?”
Upon hearing her voice, the two of them looked up in surprise. They hadn’t expected her to push the door open and walk in. After all, this was a man’s room, and it was somewhat awkward.
“It seems like he’s sick,” Tristian stated.
Her outfit revealed more than expected as she approached, causing Tristian to turn his head away swiftly.
“Let me take a look.” Chloe stepped forward, and Tristian quickly made way for her.
She sat there, wrapping her arms around Caleb’s body, allowing him to lean on her shoulder. She gently patted his face and said, “Caleb, wake up.”
“Chloe” Benjamin watched as she affectionately wrapped her arms around Caleb.
She was dressed like this, yet leaning on him. A flicker of displeasure crossed Benjamin’s eyes. His hands clenched into fists as he stepped forward, intending to separate the two.
However, Chloe paid him no heed and said, “He feels a bit warm. He must’ve caught a cold last night.”
As she spoke, she discreetly retrieved a pill, ensuring no one else could see. Without hesitation, she pushed it into Caleb’s mouth, followed by water, forcing him to swallow.
“What did you feed him?” Tristian asked, looking at her with a hint of caution.
Celebrities were particularly wary of consuming anything from others, especially medication.
Last night, when she offered him water, he didn’t drink. However, Caleb did, which left Tristian somewhat suspicious. He

Could there have been something wrong with the glass of water from last night?
Caleb always works out. There’s no way he could fall ill just from a bit of rain last night.

Am I the only one who thinks there’s something off about Chloe? Last time, on a variety show, she tried to sabotage Gabrielle. Could she be planning to target Caleb this time?
Regardless of the situation, she just stuffed the medicine into his mouth. Could it be that this medicine was something else?
The netizens were freaking out. Early in the morning, they saw this scene and were losing their minds, wanting to rush in and stop it. Unfortunately, it was too late. The pill had already been shoved into his mouth.
After Caleb swallowed it, he kept leaning against Chloe’s body.
They were positioned in a rather suggestive manner, much like a couple.
“Chloe, why don’t you return to your room to change into something else first?” Benjamin was seething with anger, watching her in that provocative nightgown, exposed in front of so many men.
He felt a pang in his heart. After all, the family protected and raised her since she was little.
They never saw her like that before, yet Tristian and Caleb got to take advantage of it. There was no way Benjamin could be pleased about that.
“It’s fine. We’ll talk when he wakes up,” Chloe said in a hushed tone.
She was somewhat anxious, unable to attend to anything else.
Last night, he had consumed the final glass of spiked water, along with the pill just now. Caleb would be irrevocably tied to her now. Even if he was unwilling, there was no way out.
Yet, she remained anxious, yearning to see the medicine take effect with her eyes.
“Ugh. Suddenly, Caleb let out a stifled grunt.
He slowly opened his eyes, finding Tristian and Benjamin standing before him. With a puzzled pat on his head, he murmured, “What happened to me?”
As soon as Caleb finished speaking, Chloe promptly chimed in.
“You fall sick. I just gave you some medicine. How are you feeling now? Is there any discomfort? Do you want to see a doctor?” Chloe asked anxiously.
When Caleb heard her voice, a shiver ran down his body.
He quickly turned his head, his previously indifferent gaze burning with intensity.
“I didn’t mean to worry you, but I’m fine,” Caleb said. He quickly straightened up, leaning slightly against her. He reached out to touch her head and reassured her, “Don’t worry. I’m feeling much better now.”
Caleb’s voice became incredibly gentle, and his gaze carried sparks as if he had harbored a secret crush on her for a long
time.
“Are you okay now? That’s a relief. You scared me to death.” Upon seeing this, Chloe couldn’t help but smirk in satisfaction.
She gave him a gentle nudge, her hand lightly covering her chest, shielding her modesty. Slowly, she rose to her feet and said, “I should go back to my room and change to avoid any misunderstanding when the cameraman arrives.”
Tristian remained silent, his gaze sweeping over her from head to toe, ultimately resting on Caleb.
Good. Go now,” Caleb said, his voice a deep rasp.
The two men standing off to the side watched their interaction, completely baffled.

“Guess I’ll head back to my room then,” Chloe said, stealing a glance at him.
Upon seeing the deep affection in Caleb’s eyes, she held her chin high with pride and headed toward her room.
Leaning against the headboard, Caleb watched her leave, chuckling softly, “So naughty”
Benjamin fell silent.
He furrowed his brows, sensing that something was off, yet he couldn’t quite put his finger on it.
Tristian instinctively shrank his neck, hastily concocting an excuse. Clutching a towel, he headed out, intending to wash his Tace Meanwhile, Benjamin followed behind him, occasionally glancing back at Caleb.
Not long after freshening up, they noticed Team B was having breakfast.
Are you hungry?” Caleb asked as he approached Chloe.
Folding herhand he walked over to stand beside Team B. Then, he reached for the spiced mashed yams and offered them t her saying “Have some to start with.”
