Chapter 14
“Still feeling uncomfortable in your stomach?”
I didn’t have any strength to speak.
Alexander sighed, “What a loser. The human body is truly fragile, incapable of withstanding much.”
Feeling dizzy and nauseous, I couldn’t speak, and my body was also sinking. I didn’t expect Alexander to treat me well. Undeniably, I was so tired and felt so uncomfortable.
Suddenly, I felt a warmth on my cheeks as a warm towel wiped across my face and then my body. Feeling warm and comfortable, I couldn’t help rubbing the towel. A moment later, Alexander paused.
He said with a threatening voice, Tll let you go for today.”
Immediately, I felt my body float as I was carried by Alexander onto the bed. When I came to my senses, Alexander had hands, which had been cooked by a servant.

With his slender fingers stirring the soup with a spoon, he lowered his handsome face slightly. At the same time, he wore an expression of obscurity and mystery. For all the warmth of Alexander’s gesture, it was filled with a strong sense of aggression.
I was well aware that Alexander was not concerned about me and he just didn’t want me to die yet.
When I came out of my thoughts, a spoonful of soup was handed to my lips. I pursed my lips before opening my mouth. However, I didn’t get to have the spoonful of soup because Alexander’s cellphone rang.
It was Charlotte’s call. As he answered the phone, the sound of Charlotte crying came from the other end.
“Help me, Mr. Alexander! It has been claimed online that I was the one who drugged you last night. They say I am shameless and love to have a frolic What should I do now? I feel like I’m being followed by some Rogues, and I’m so scared. Please, somebody help me!”
After listening to Charlotte’s words, Alexander turned his head to look at me coldly. His brows furrowed slightly, revealing a hint of coldness, and an aura of intimidation pervaded him from head to toe.
Yes. He believed I was behind the scenes.
“Wait for me” Alexander showed his tenderness only to Charlotte. His tone was soft
But after hanging up the phone, when faced with me, he turned as aloof as he usually would be. Even the turning of the wrench was accompanied by a mockery towards me. The next second, as the scalding hot bowl of soup was forcefully placed in my palm, the unbearable pain crept over my fingers. With his eyes filled with coldness, he pressed my hand back,
“She’s
my future
partner, you’d better pray that she is OK.”
I watched as Alexander’s figure disappeared. Just like in the past, he could always rush to Charlotte at the first possible moment, no matter when or where. The door slowly closed.
I was still holding the soup in my hands, as if only that kind of pain could be a reminder to me. It was a warning that I should be away from Alexander. A human and a werewolf together have no future.
L, no longer indulging in self–pity, gulped down the soup.
