Chapter 43
“You never cared about what I said or what I did. You only cared about the results you wanted. Why bother to talk about punishment hypocritically? How many people has Leopold hurt in secret? Shouldn’t this strong Warrior be punished? Yes, you force me to reconcile, when I haven’t done anything Do you want me to accept the punishment? Why? Tell me, why?”
“Because Charlotte was wronged!”
My eyes became crimson, staring straight at Alexander. Alexander remained still, not uttering a word, as cold as a stranger.
Suddenly, I felt tired.
“Go away, take good care of Charlotte. We had nothing to do with each other in the first place.”
Alexander cast his eyes downward, as if brimming with an inscrutable sentiment. Nevertheless, in the blink of an eye, he grew cold and menacing
“Are you done talking? Since you refuse to accept the punishment, then reflect on it here.” With that, he nonchalantly straightened his suit and stood up
I was shrouded by a rall dark shadow, unable to see any trace of light. I looked up and stared at Alexander, my eyes already filled with tears.
Alexander leaned to the side, cleared his throat, and walked away without hesitation.
As I watched the closed door, I immediately looked up, but still couldn’t hold back my tears. No matter how I chose, my future would be fraught with difficulties.
I hate these werewolves who pretend not to understand words!
Alexander walked to the outside of the Pack Enforcer station, Jin a cigarette, and silently smoked while looking at the distant sky.
The weather was clear just now, but somehow the wind started blowing and the clouds gathered
Keith followed closely behind and whispered, “The person we were following has left.”
Alexander narrowed his eyes and just nodded.
Keith continued, “Mr. Alexander, why didn’t you..”
Alexander glanced at him without any change in expression, and Keith immediately closed his mouth.
Alexander got into the car after putting out the cigarette and said, “Start the car.”
I sat there in a daze for a long time, until the door was pushed open again. Gracie came in with kindness.
You haven’t eaten anything all day, so I brought you a meal. Just have it. You are still injured.*
I let out a sigh of relief and said, “Thank you.”
Gracie sat across, deep in thought, and said, “That man, do you really not know him? Or have you seen him somewhere before, feeling familiar?”
I knew what she meant. She wanted to get some useful information. I took some food and shook my head, saying, “I didn’t recognize him at all, and I haven’t seen him before”
“But he knew a lot about you, which made it hard not to suspect you, so you have to come up with something useful. Or rather, you have to say- something that benefits you,” Gracie continued.
Her words made me calm down and think back on this matter.“He said that I had contacted him. Did he provide any evidence? I am a human, and I’ve never had much connection with werewolves, except for my family.”
