‘Is she joking? A guy whom even Medusa calls an important person? It’s probably only The Ruler of Eminence Nexus. Could it be that the Queen of Eminence Nexus is here too?‘ Zack wondered. He looked up at the glass windows, trying to spot something.
The area was sparsely populated. Beyond the large windows, a straight road led directly to the entrance of Highcrest University.
As Zack scanned the surroundings, he caught sight of a girl’s figure on the distant sidewalk. ‘Could the important person Medusa mentioned be Zoe?‘ he wondered.
When Zack saw Zoe, who had just left not long ago, his eyes widened in astonishment, and his mouth dropped open so wide it could have swallowed an egg.
But soon, he calmed down from the shock.
‘No, it can’t be Zoe. I must be going crazy to even think such a ridiculous thought,’ he told himself. ‘Anyone in the world could be The Ruler of Eminence Nexus, but Zoe is definitely not her. I know too much about her background.‘
Zoe had grown up in a small town and had never even been abroad. She couldn’t possibly be The Ruler of Eminence Nexus. Suddenly, Medusa stood up without a word and left the café.
After leaving the café, Medusa walked in the opposite direction. From the moment she left, she didn’t even glance at Zoe. It seemed like the two of
them had no connection at all.
Zack, who had been startled at first, finally felt relieved. ‘That’s right. I must have been overthinking it. Zoe can’t be the Queen,‘ he thought.
Zack had accidentally learned that both Medusa and The Ruler of Eminence Nexus might be in Jelonsburg and might know about his challenge with Zoe. He was delighted.
Zack walked into Highcrest University with a beaming smile, thinking, ‘If I show absolute strength in this fight and catch Ms. Medusa’s attention, maybe I’ll get a ticket to enter Eminence Nexus in one go? Perhaps I could become a big shot in Eminence Nexus?‘
The more he thought about it, the more excited he became.
Unable to contain his confidence, Zack strode into the gymnasium with a broad smile.
The influencers on the scene erupted into wild cheers as soon as they saw Zack’s confident appearance. The atmosphere was instantly electrified to its peak.
[Hey, guys, look over there. That’s Mr. Shelton. Today, he looks incredibly handsome, and even his walk is arrogant. It seems he’s very confident about this match.]

Even Zack himself hadn’t expected that his challenge with Zoe would cause such a huge sensation. Just thinking about the fame and fortune he would gain today made him feel elated.
“Mr. Shelton, you’re finally here,” Eunice said, holding a bottle of water as she approached Zack.
Zack frowned slightly. “Eunice, why are you here?”
“Mr. Shelton, I’m here to apologize on behalf of Zoe. Although she’s too arrogant, she is still my family. I just hope you can spare her life for the sake of the Evans family,” Eainice said.
“Mr. Shelton, please accept my apology.” Eunice unscrewed the cap and held the water to Zack’s lips.
With a young campan goddess showing him such attention, Zack couldn’t refuse. He took a small sip and then handed the bottle back to Eunice, making his stance dear.
Enough of that. Whether I kill Zor or not depends on her attitude.” With that, Zack climbed onto the fighting platform amidst the cheers of the crowd.
He waved his hands, quickly drawing screams and cheers from the audience.
“Oh my, it’s Mr. Shelton.”
“Mr. Shelton, you’re my idol. I love you”

“Please make sure to crush Zoe completely.”
“By the way, where is Zoe? The match is almost starting, but she still hasn’t shown up. Did she back out at the last minute?”

As the minutes ticked by, Zoe still hadn’t arrived at the scene. During this time, Herbert and Jacob had called Zoe countless times, but there was no answer. Eventually, her phone went straight to voicemail.
Initially, they had intended to call Zoe to demand an apology. By now, the entire internet was abuzz with news about her upcoming fight with Zack.
If Zoe lost, it wouldn’t just be her reputation at stake; it could also impact the stock market performance of the Evans Group the next day. Herbert and Jacob couldn’t afford to let that happen.
“Damn it, she actually turned off her phone at a crucial moment like this. She must be hiding out of fear,” Jacob said.
As the two brothers cursed, the final five minutes approached, and the crowd began to buzz again.
“There are only five minutes left until the scheduled time. Where is Zoc?”
“Are you guys really that naive? No one would dare challenge Mr. Shelton. She definitely ran away.”
“I thought she was some kind of hero, but she turned out to be such a coward. Zoe is just a fraud. She probably won’t show up, right?”
The clock kept ticking.
“Wow, we’re about to hit the one–minute countdown, and the other contestant, Zoe, still hasn’t appeared. Where could she be?” The host on stage spoke in a humorous tone, which drew laughter from the entire audience. Everyone assumed Zoe had fled.
As if to confirm this, a student stood up and shouted, “I just saw Zoe outside campus, and she was walking in the opposite direction from the school.”
The crowd erupted into an uproar.
“Damn it, she really did chicken out, didn’t she?”
