I storm out of the room and head to the parking area where I left my car. I have to call Jared to confirm. He should know how awkward it would be for me when others know about his so–called gift. If that’s the case, I’ll give him a beating later when we meet
“Jared… Where’s his contact number?” I kept browsing through my contacts, searching for his name, when I remembered he didn’t give me his number. It was the other way around. “Shit! How can I forget asking for his mumber when I gave mine! I can’t just wait for him to call me first.”
Seriously… sending me this cream on the first day we’re together. Isn’t he an oddball?
“Ah, forget it. I’ll ask him tonight. So, where should I go first? I don’t think there’s something useful I can find inside the fridge. I better stop by at the nearby supermarket.”
The drive to the supermarket lasts longer than expected. The traffic is more tiring than sitting and doing paperwork in the office. I haven’t had Junch either, and it’s already past 2 o’clock in the afternoon.

The ringing phone inside my bag interrupts my thoughts. It’s like a breath of fresh air when I see an unregistered number shown on the screen. No. one would call me at this hour except that man. He’s probably done with his appointment, thus he’s calling me.
“Jared!” I said in excitement. Maybe because I’ve been murmuring to myself alone for hours now while occasionally stepping on the break and the gas alternately every couple of meters. “Jared? Is that you?”
I bite my lips while waiting for a response. No one is speaking on the other line and my heart beats fast. I have a hunch it’s Jared, but why isn’t he saying something?

Gaaah! Is this how a girlfriend should treat her boyfriend when they’re taking over the phone? I don’t know the details to make the relationship. grow healthy, but I would like to try my best.
