Chapter 111
Zoe was never one to hesitate. She had a bold, carefree grin on her face as she made up her mind.
Medusa shot Zoe a suspicious look and asked, “Boss, what’s going on?”
“Go back and keep an eye on Shawn. Report to me the moment anything happens,” Zoe instructed. With that, she parted ways with Medusa.
Zoe swiftly climbed over the wall, planning to leave the area and return home quietly. But as soon as she got out of the corner and over the wall. she saw quite a scene at the entrance of the military camp.
Shawn, in his upright military uniform, walked out of the camp. Behind him, two sokliers were holding back a woman, forcing
her in
n step back.
They only stopped when the woman was several feet away from Shawn, then stood respectfully to the side.
Zoe wasn’t interested in watching the drama, but since it involved Shawn, she decided to stay close to the wall and listen in. She thought, ‘It seems Shawn has been approached by another woman. This woman is clearly different from the usual:
The woman, dressed in a princess–like light green floral dress, was crying and shouting. “Shawn, how could you treat me like this? It’s your mother who sent me to find you. You can’t just push me away like this”
Call a car and send her home, Shawn said coldly. His expression was terrifying, like a lion ready to pounce. It seemed as if the woman dared to come any closer, he would shoot her on the spot.
But the woman wasn’t about to give up. She was no
to ordinary w
woman; she was Sophia White, the fiancee chosen for Shawn by the Ludwig family.
Her own family, the White family, was on par with the Ludwigs. They were old friends, and in the high society of felonsburg, they were two of the most prestigious families.
No other families were more elite than the Whites and the Ludwigs, and everyone in Clusia knew of them.
Tears streamed down Sophia’s face. Seeing that Chase had already started arranging for a car as ordered, she quickly shouted, “Shawn, I won’t leave I absolutely won’t.
“I’ve got the paperwork to back it up. This is an official certificate signed by your superior. It stated that as your fiancée, I have the right to live with you” As she spoke, she pulled out a piece of paper.
Chase glanced at the document and nearly choked. He said, “Mr. Ludwig, this He had experienced how difficult Sophia could be before. Seeing that Sophia had even obtained an official document, Clase hesitated.
With the paper, Sophia arrogantly raised her head, beaming with self–satisfaction. The next moment, Shawn swiftly snatched the paper right out of Sophia’s hand
Without waiting for Sophia to react, Shawn frowned and tore the paper into shreds. He said, “This is a family arrangement. It has nothing to do with me. If you continue to pester me, don’t blame me for being nuthless”
The fact that Shawn even acknowledged Sophia was already a courtesy to her family. If i had been any other woman pulling a stunt like this, she would have been thrown to the wolves. Without sparing her another glance, Shawn turned and walked away
But Sophia was even more persistent than Shawn had imagined. She pushed against the two soldiers. When they didn’t budge, she started shouting, as if she wanted the whole camp to know about their relationship.
She shouted, “Shown. I know this is just a family alliance, but since both families think we’re a good match, we should be together. It’s good for both our families
I’ll be well–behaved and promise not to cause you any trouble. Just let me stay. Shawn As she spoke, Sophia dramatically fell to the ground.
Zoe, hiding in the shadows, couldn’t help but click her tongue in disbelief. She hadn’t expected Shawn’s romantic entanglements to include such a persistently difficult, epic–level character.
She almost wanted to bring a chair and some popcorn to sit and enjoy the show, eager to see Shawn’s embarrassed face even more.
After her dramatic fall, Sophia sat on the ground and cried pitifully, “It hurts, it’s painful. Shawn, I think I’m injured. Can you carry me back! You can’t treat me like this. We’re supposed to get married in the future.”
