Chapter 57
Besides, there was a massive garden outside the hall. It could take forever if they searched for Serena cluelessly,
Wilson first needed to figure out who had put a target on Serena. Once he had a lead, finding Serena would be much easier.
Just as he was feeling agitated, he suddenly noticed a lavishly dressed woman standing in the hall and talking on the phone.
Wilson’s gaze narrowed. “Yvonne?”
Yvonne Jenkins noticed him at the same time and immediately smiled. “Oh, Wilson! I haven’t seen you in a while.”
Yvonne was Shawn’s mother. She had married Simon Quade, but the couple later divorced due to some marital conflicts.
Yvonne had taken on Simon’s last name after marriage, and she spoiled her son rotten. That was why Shawn acted like a rascal.
Wilson squinted doubtfully. A sudden thought flashed through his mind. He walked down the stairs slowly. “Yvonne, are you looking for Shawn?”
“Yes, that boy disappeared right after the event ended. He’s not answering his phone, either. I have no idea where he’s gone.”
Wilson pulled out a cigarette from its box as the look in his eyes deepened.
“Yvonne, think carefully. When did he go missing? I’ll help you find him.”
Yvonne told them the time, which coincided almost exactly with when Serena had disappeared.
Wilson let out a cold chuckle. “Don’t worry, Yvonne. I’ll find him.”
For some reason, Yvonne found Wilson’s expression unnervingly sinister.
A splash of icy liquid hit Serena’s face, jolting her awake from unconsciousness.
She shivered and slowly opened her eyes. She was immediately greeted by the sight of an opulent chandelier.
A sneer sounded in her ears. “You’re finally awake.”
Startled, Serena abruptly sat up.
Only then did she realize her hands and feet were bound.
Across from her sat a man with a sinister grin. His white shirt was unbuttoned at the collar, and he held a half–full glass of red
wine in his hand.
He was savoring the sight of Serena in her disheveled state.
The man was indeed Shawn Quade.

“Ms. Judd, you’re finally awake. I’ve been waiting for you. After all, it’s more fun when both parties are conscious.”
Serena felt all the blood in her body rush to her head. She forced herself to stay calm.
“Arev
you insane? I came here with Wilson. If he finds out I’ve gone missing, he’ll make you pay for it!”
Shawn smirked. “Well, let’s wait and see what he does when he finds out. But for now, I’ll make you suffer.”
He stood up and approached Serena, lowering his head to whisper in her ear, “I won’t hurt you, but I’ll make you high on
pleasure.”
Serena had goosebumps all over her body.
Shawn’s breath was like a venomous serpent, wrapping itself tightly around her and making her tense up.
“Don’t be nervous,” he teased. “As long as you behave, I’ll be very gentle with you.”
He ran his fingers over her pale, delicate face. “Please me, and I promise I won’t make things difficult for you.”
Serena lowered her gaze. “Will you let me go if I pleasure you?”
“Of course.”
“Untie me, then. I won’t resist, but you have to keep your word.”
“Are you that obedient?”
Shawn lifted her chin with his fingers and peered into her eyes as if figuring out whether or not she was telling the truth.
After a moment, he chuckled softly. “Alright.”
He picked up a fruit knife and cut the ropes binding her hands and feet.
“Now, it’s your turn.”
Justin settled into a nearby couch, gesturing for Serena to unbutton his shirt.
