Roseanne looked at Rosalie, silent for two seconds, then sighed and said, “In the end, Ms. Talley, you don’t like me, right? Is it because of Julian?”
Rosalie glanced at her, no longer even wanting to waste words with her.
She now realized that Roseanne didn’t come here to apologize, nor to ask to learn from her. She just wanted to show off Julian to her again, to satisfy her vanity.
Roseanne wanted to see Rosalie upset, angry, or jealous. But she didn’t get that reaction, so she was frustrated and didn’t want to pretend anymore.
Roseanne thought, ‘Is it really worth it? Battling with a substitute? If people don’t know better, they’d think Julian has fallen for Rosalie, and the real one, is just getting angry, trying to show off her ownership of him.’
Roseanne had done something similar in her past life, but back then, she was too obsessed with Julian, losing herself in the process. It led her to irrationally lose control and let Roseanne manipulate her in front of Julian.
In her past life, she and Julian had reached the point of mutual disdain. Aside from Roseanne causing trouble, it ultimately came down to her own fault. If she had been able to withstand Roseanne’s provocations, Roseanne could have done nothing to her.
If, in her past life, after being neglected by Julian for a year, she had agreed to his request for a divorce, there wouldn’t have been all those arguments that followed.
Rosalie smiled at Roseanne’s smugness, “So, Ms. Palmer, you came to tell me this? Now that you’re back with Mr. Galloway, he should have informed you that I’ve divorced him. There’s no need to mention him.”
She thought that after saying this, Roseanne would back off, but she had underestimated this Roseanne’s thick skin.

Roseanne said, “Ms. Talley, I heard about your divorce from a friend. I didn’t expect Julian to be so cruel. Just because I left, he found you as a replacement. What he did was really unfair, and I apologize on his behalf.”

She tried to continue provoking Rosalie, but Rosalie said, “I don’t get it either. Is Julian crazy? His girlfriend ran off to Avaloria, and instead of chasing after her, he found a replacement to marry? If people didn’t know, they’d think his girlfriend died, and he couldn’t get her back.”
