However, a figure shot toward us like a bolt of lightning just before he could, kicking Dylan on the chest!
I looked up to see John, shaking with rage.
“How dare you try to hurt my children!” He bellowed, his voice cold as ice. “Levi, take this animal away and lock him up!”
I was rushed to the hospital–even though Dylan never reached me, the shock was still too much and caused some abdominal
cramps.
Over the next three days, John never left the VIP ward I was in.
Then, the doctor came in carrying my report with a delighted smile, “Congratulations, Mr. Sullivan! You’d be expecting three
1/2
sons soon!”
John’s hands were shaking with excitement even as he firmly grasped mine. “Did you hear that, Wendy? We will soon have three
sons together!”
I leaned against my bed as I said softly, “That’s not enough. I’ll have even more kids with you.”
The rim of his eyes reddened as he brushed his fingers against my hair, “Oh, Wendy. What did I do to deserve you?”
Before I could speak, he pulled out a document from his suit, “Here–I had my lawyer draft this earlier. From now on, you will
have five percent of my company’s shares.”
I was stunned, as those shares were worth their weight in gold–not even Dylan got one percent despite being John’s only son,
but John was willing to give me five percent!
Seeing the serious look in his eyes, I felt pained.
John had definitely been good to me–even in our previous lives, he was there for me whenever Dylan went too far.
