“Faith, he can confirm that this wedding dress was made just for you!“}
The moment those words escaped, my former agent’s face twisted with awkwardness.
He couldn’t forget the humiliating things he had once said to me.
Seeing his hesitation, Finn gave him a sharp kick.
“Speak up! You’re the one who handed me Faith’s measurements when I asked.“}
The agent swallowed hard and admitted, “Yes, this dress was personally designed by President Brooks. He chose the designer himself and had it custom–made for you. Faith, you’ve been away in Dallas for so long, and now, here in Miami, everything feels strange and unfamiliar. That Archie looks like nothing but a reckless playboy, always racing cars, risking it all.“}
“Just listen to me and come back to President Brooks. He’s been losing his mind without you these past two weeks.“>
Finn’s eyes brimmed with desperation as he held the wedding dress out toward me.
“Faith, every diamond, every stitch on this dress was chosen with care, crafted exactly to your taste.“}
“I know I was wrong. I should never have believed Darcie or doubted you or caused you pain.“}
“Can you forgive me just this once? For the sake of that time, I saved your life?“>
But looking at the dress only brought back the memory of Finn humiliating me with that ten–million–dollar check.
“Finn, I never told you this before, did I? I’m not really an orphan. My parents love me dearly. They promised that if I won Best Actress, they wouldn’t force me into an arranged marriage.“}]
“But that award, you gave it to Darcie.“{
“The day before you forced me to donate blood for Darcie, I had just lost my baby. Such a fragile life, gone in an instant.“{

As he listened, Finn’s face drained of color, his lips quivering as if to speak, but my next words shut him down completely.
“Leave, Finn. Archie and I are getting married soon. We’ve known each other since childhood. This isn’t a tantrum. I’ve simply come to understand my own heart. i won’t betray my husband, and I refuse any more ties to you.”
“Please don’t come near me again.”>
I took a deep breath, forcing my voice to remain steady and calm.
But Finn refused to let go.§
He clutched my arm with desperate strength.
“Faith, please, just one more chance. Don’t marry him. I’m begging you.”
His eyes brimmed with pleading as he sank to his knees.
At that moment, Archie appeared like a shadow, his gaze sharp and possessive.§
Without hesitation, he slid his arm around my waist from behind, a faint, cold smile playing on his lips.
“President Brooks, shouldn’t you be handling your mess back in Dallas? Why come all this way just to bother my wife?”
He chuckled softly.
“Oh, I heard you and Darcie tied the knot. We haven’t sent a gift yet, though I’m not sure we’re close enough for one.”
Finn’s face drained of color as he locked eyes with me.
Without hesitation, I slapped him hard across the cheek.
“Shameless. What makes you think I, Faith, would want a man who can’t even control his own desires?”
Archie leaned in, kissing my ear softly before whispering, “Who said she’s a stranger to Miami? Ever heard of Alfie Harper, the top jeweler in town? Faith is the pride and joy of the Harper family.”
My former agent’s eyes widened in stunned disbelief.” Finn’s expression twisted with shock as he stared at me.
“You… you’re really the Harper family heiress?”
He muttered under his breath as if remembering that when he was on the brink of ruin, he’d refused to borrow money out of sheer pride.
