Upon hearing Logan’s words, Harper lowered her head as she stood obediently beside him.

Logan pursed his lips and said, “I’ll accompany you out.”
Harper nodded.
After Logan accompanied Harper out, Keena finally turned to Layla and said, “Logan is young. He’s easily deceived by such cunning women. You should be more careful.”
Layla nodded. In fact, she was eager for Logan and Harper’s relationship to progress more swiftly.
“Ive noticed your dwindling efforts toward Logan lately,” Keena said as she grabbed Layla’s hand. “You need to capture Logan’s heart. At the very least, conceive a child. You can secure a man’s heart with a child.”

Layla could see the distrust in his eyes, but it didn’t matter. She didn’t expect him to believe her.
Soon, Layla followed Logan into the car. Logan even feigned affectionately by holding her hand.

“What are your plans for that piece of land? Keena suddenly asked.
This question was directed at Logan instead of Layla.
Logan was sitting in the front seat. He stared at Layla in the rearview mirror and said, “Layla bought the land, so she should handle it herself”
Keena looked at Layla and said, “Let Logan handle the matter regarding the land. The most crucial thing for a woman is still to take care of the family.”
“Old Mrs. Robinson, the affairs of the Robinsons are indeed under Logan’s jurisdiction. However, I bought this land on behalf of the elders of my family. If my family needs it, they don’t need to go through me.”
Upon hearing Layla’s words, Keena’s tone changed as she said, “In the future, don’t meddle in such matters. After all, you are now married to Logan. Your every move represents the Robinsons.”

Logan frowned but didn’t express much discontent. “Alright, Grandma.”
Looking at Logan’s eyes in the rearview mirror, Layla knew that he would once again attribute this trouble to her.
She was unable to voice her grievances.
Taking a deep breath, she forced herself to swallow all her grievances.
