Logan spent the whole night at the hospital with Harper. Upon receiving a call from Leo in the morning, his expression soured noticeably. “Entrance exam?”
“The university office called and mentioned Mrs. Robinson’s name on the entrance exam list. They wanted to confirm if she had consulted you about it.”
Logan clearly remembered Layla accompanying Keena shopping last night. He pondered when Layla could have the time to register for the exam. “Okay, he replied before hanging up. His frown deepened, and he wondered about Layla’s motives.

“It’s regarding Layla,” he said while rubbing his temples. “I must return now. You stay here and rest.“.
Harper nodded obediently. After he left, she murmured. “Layla? What’s with her and the university?”
Meanwhile, Layla was leisurely wandering around Athena University. As Logan’s spouse, she received a guided tour from the dean and vice dean. They showed her the campus facilities and scenic spots.
She already possessed natural beauty, but she appeared even more youthful and vibrant that day with her hair tied into a ponytail. The other students passing by couldn’t help but glance at her and wonder about her identity.
At that moment, Logan’s car pulled up outside the university entrance.
Amy Rogers noticed the car and thought it looked familiar. “Isn’t that Harper’s boyfriend’s car?” She had seen it multiple times before, as it always dropped off and picked up Harper.
“Yeah. I saw her get into that car last night.” Crystal Spencer was puzzled and said, “Didn’t she say her boyfriend was taking her to the hospital? How is she back so soon!”
Their curiosity deepened as they observed Logan getting out of the car alone.
With his imposing presence and height of six feet two inches, he exuded an air of unapproachable nobility.
The university dean and vice dean escorted Layla to the entrance just when Logan arrived. She didn’t plan to hide anything from him. Given his connection to the school, she knew he would inevitably find out about her registration
Seeing the dean and vice dean were both present, Logan pulled her aside and said coldly, “Come with me.”
To bystanders, their interaction seemed very intimate.
“Oh my God! Isn’t that Harper’s boyfriend? But who is she?”
“She’s so pretty. I’ve never seen her around before.”
Crystal swiftly captured a photo with her phone and forwarded it to Harper. ‘Hey, look at these. Isn’t this your boyfriend?”
Harper, who was in the hospital, received the message. When she saw the photo of Logan and Layla, she sat up straight in bed. She pondered, Why is she suddenly at the university
Harper, you should ask your boyfriend what’s going on. Something doesn’t feel right about them, Crystal urged.
Harper bit her lip. Driven by vanity, she had lied to her roommate and claimed that he was her boyfriend. She contemplated, If this lie is exposed, how could I ever face them and share a dormitory with them? I’d be a target for ridicule.

Outside Athena University, Logan pulled Layla into his car. “Explain yourself, he demanded.
She said truthfully. I want to enroll in the university to study finance.”
“I won’t allow it.”
“Who are you to stop
me?” she challenged
“Because I’m your husband!” Logan’s voice grew colder. “Layla, don’t think I don’t know your intentions.
“What are you talking about!”
“Harper attends this university. You’re only going to stir up trouble,” he accused.
“I’m not as penty as you think.”

“I can overlook it when you copied Harper’s style, but this crosses a line. I told you before that your position as my wife is secure,” he affirmed.
“Really? If I weren’t a Kennedy, would you still have married me?” Layla looked at Logan coldly.
He was momentarily speechless.
Deep down, they both knew the answer to that question. If a more suitable candidate for the role of “Mrs. Robinson” emerged, he wouldn’t hesitate to divorce her.
“This university isn’t a place you can just waltz into. Don’t assume your status as my wife exempts you from the entrance exam. I won’t help you.”
“Til earn my place on my own merits. I don’t need your help.” Layla said
“You?” He scoffed derisively. “Do you think Athena University is that easy to get into? Don’t waste your time. Give up.”
Thanks for the advice. Goodbye.” She got out of the car without hesitation.
Her indifferent attitude left Logan in a foul mood. Then, he quickly dialed Leo’s number. “Inform the admissions office not to give Layla any special treatment due to her status. She has to pass the entrance exams just like everyone else,” he stated firmly.
Leo was surprised by Logan’s tone and thought to himself, Looks like he is in à bad mood, probably because of Mrs. Robinson.
Around noon, Harper returned to her dormitory and saw her roommates waiting for her.
“Harper, you’re finally back! Crystal exclaimed and jumped off her bed. “We saw that woman getting out of your boyfriend’s car today. They were in there together for quite a while.”
“Yeah,” Amy chimed in. “Crystal and I both saw it. Who is she? Did you ask your boyfriend about it? What did he say?”
Seeing her roommates curious expressions, Harper lowered her head. “That woman. She likes my boyfriend, but he doesn’t feel the same. That’s why she keeps bothering him. Today, she came to the university to cause trouble, so he came to set things straight with her. That’s what you saw earlier.”
“Oh. I see. Amy nodded.
Crystal said angrily, “I knew something was off about her. She looks like such a vixen who tried to steal someone else’s boyfriend. How shameless!”
“She is pretty, though, Amy remarked. “Harper, you need to be careful. What if she tries to steal your boyfriend?”
“No way.” Crystal said confidently. “Harper’s boyfriend loves her too much to be swayed by someone like that.”
“Thanks for worrying about me. But trust me, my boyfriend and I are doing great,” Harper assured them with a smile.

Amy added. “By the way. I heard she is planning to enroll here to study finance. I bet she’s doing it to stay close to Harper” “What?” Harper was shocked. She was in disbelief that Layla was enrolling in the university to study finance.
“It’s true.” Amy said. “I asked a friend in the admissions office. That woman showed up with the dean and the vice dean, and she looked like she came from a very wealthy family. She’s probably trying to pull some strings to get in.”
Crystal looked puzzled. Our campus has plenty of wealthy kids. Do you know who she is?”
Amy shook her head. “I don’t know, but no other rich student has ever had the dean and vice dean personally greet them. Her family must be something else.”
“She’s wealthy and pretty. Yet, she wants to steal someone else’s boyfriend. It’s so strange
As Crystal and Amy continued their conversation, Harper grew more anxious. She thought, If Layla really does enroll at the university, my lies will be exposed. Mr. Robinson’s call this morning and his sudden departure from the hospital must be related to this
At that moment, her phone rang, and she stepped outside the dormitory to answer.
“The hospital said you have been discharged. What’s going on? Logan’s concern was evident in his voice.
“I didn’t want to fall behind in my studies, so I came back early”
“Study is important, but your health is more so. Don’t go to class for the next few days. I’ll have Leo arrange for your leave,”
he said.
After hesitating, Harper asked, “I heard Mrs. Robinson is enrolling in the university. Is it true?”
“Who told you that?” Logan’s tone grew cold at the mention of Layla
“My roommates spotted a beautiful woman at the university entrance today and heard she wanted to take the entrance exams. Also, you mentioned getting a call from the university about her this morning, so I wondered if she’s planning to enroll here”
“It’s her decision. I’m not going to assist her. Just concentrate on your recovery and don’t worry about it,” he stated
After hearing that, she sighed in relief. Without Logan’s help, she knew Layla wouldn’t be able to enroll at the university on
her own.
After all, Harper had worked hard to earn her place at Athena University. She knew Layla couldn’t just buy her way in despite being wealthy..
“Mr. Robinson, there’s one more thing….
“Go on,” he said.
“My birthday is the day after tomorrow. Can I invite you to dinner?” She waited anxiously for his response.
“Okay,” he agreed.
With his answer, Harper’s smile grew even brighter. Logan had always celebrated her birthdays, and despite the situation with Layla, she was determined to make sure this year would be no different.
