How could Julian not fall for a woman like Tessa?
He didn’t want to let go of her, holding her tightly as they cuddled on the bed.
Tessa was happy at first, but her smile eventually faded.

But hearing that only made Tessa even more uneasy.
“Don’t you think that so–called pretty boy has something off about him?”
She couldn’t quite put her finger on it, but the feeling was there.
Maybe she wouldn’t have felt it so strongly if it were someone else.
But it was because Lucas had acted so out of the ordinary that Tessa found it strange.
Julian looked at how worried she was and still couldn’t help feeling a bit dismissive.
“Alright, Tessa, stop overthinking everything.”
He urged her to hurry up. “You’re just scaring yourself. Nothing’s really going on. You’re probably just exhausted from the past few days.”
Hearing that, Tessa let go of her lingering doubts.
“You’re right, Julian.”
She regained her usual spark. “Once everything settles down, I’ll definitely reward you properly.”
As she spoke, she playfully scratched Julian’s chin and added, “Just focus on what you need to do. We only need to hold this final line.”

After Tessa left, Julian’s smile gradually faded.
He slowly got dressed at his own pace.
In his opinion, Tessa was still overthinking things.
