The soft body, still warm from alcohol, and that unfamiliar scent, unexpectedly crashed into his arms.
Isabella lifted her head and her hazy gaze met his face, suddenly bursting into giggles.
Like a cat that has successfully stolen fishy, cunning and adorable.
She reached out her slender fingers and hooked them around his neck, while the index finger of her other hand, with a slightly cool touch, slid slowly from his forehead, along his straight nose bridge, and finally stopped at his tightly pursed thin lips. said, then turned to walk upstairs, but his wrist was once again firmly grabbed by her.
“What do you like then? she asked vaguely, her breath reeking of alcohol.”
James paused, turned his back to her, and said in a cold, hard voice, “There is nothing I like.”
Isabella did not give up, her slender fingers tightened a little more, as if afraid he would disappear into thin air.
“Where is the person you liked?”
The air seemed to have frozen for a few seconds.
James hesitated for a moment before squeezing out a few words from hist throat: “There isn’t either.”
“I don’t believe it! Isabella shook her head, her hair brushing against his arm, causing a slight itch.”
“Did you think the same way when you were drunk?”
James was always arrogant: “I never drink, and no one dares to force met
