Chapter 15
“Someone bothering you, babe?” Griffin’s deep voice came from behind us.
Dom froze, his face a mask of shock.
“Just some delusional ex,” I replied, running to Griffin and wrapping my arms around his waist. “What are you doing here?”
“Thought I’d surprise you with dinner at Nobu,” he said, kissing my forehead tenderly.
“Olivia, get away from him!” Dom shouted, looking unhinged.
Griffin barely acknowledged him, bending down to kiss me properly instead. Dom stared at our matching platinum wedding bands and finally seemed to understand the reality of the situation. Still, he refused to accept it.
“When did this happen? So you lecture me about betrayal, but you were cheating
too? You’re no better than me!”
I leaned into Griffin’s chest, my lips still tingling from his kiss.
“Dom, I should thank you.”
He paused, probably thinking I was about to acknowledge how his actions led me to true happiness.
Pure delusion.
“Without your misdirected Valentine’s Day texts, I wouldn’t have knocked on Griffin’s hotel room door that night. So really, thank you for being too stupid to check who you were messaging.”
“Olivia, you—” Dom’s face contorted with rage.
Griffin stood a full head taller than Dom, his muscular frame making my ex look
like a teenager in comparison.
“Let me make this clear, Reid,” Griffin said quietly. “If I ever catch you near my wife again, what happens next won’t be pleasant for you.”
He wasn’t bluffing. Hayes Enterprises could buy and sell Reid Media Group ten
times over without blinking. Dom could work 24/7 for the rest of his life and never reach Griffin’s level of success.
He had no choice but to back down.

I’d upgraded in every possible way–his loss, not mine.
As we drove away in Griffin’s Aston Martin, I could see Dom in the rearview mirror,
standing alone in the parking garage, his face twisted with impotent rage.
