didn’t reply. Briar didn’t care. To her, it was just some blocker meds. Small dose, easy to gel.
Non–official channels meant no blowback on the Medical Research Institute if things went south.
Briar stared at her phone, specifically at a contact labeled “Boss.”

After much hesitation, Briar finally decided not to call and just sent a message instead
Black Mamba: [It’s my fault that File 531 went missing. I take full responsibility. Strucze region can’t send a large team into the country. If any losses occur, I’ll bear the consequences]
This was practically a vow,
Losing the file was already her fault.
This time, she took the messy situation upon herself. If she couldn’t resolve it, it wouldn’t be a small matter at the very least, she’d lose her position as the chief instructor of District 21 in the base.
Soon, a message popped up on her phone screen.
There were no words, just a space, with a sense of perfunctory attitude spilling out of the screen.
But Briar knew that this meant her teacher had agreed
If the other party wasn’t being perfunctory, that was when she’d really start to worry.
Letting out a long sight. Briar stood up and walked out of the dorm with her phone. “Lamb, get me some meds from the medical research instituce,” she said over the phone.
“Huh? What do you need? just have someone bring it over, no big deal. Atticus’s voice was still slow, as if he had just woken up, with a slight nasal
tone to it.
“Don’t even mention meds–if you wanted the land under the institute, they’d have to dig it up for you right away”
“Nonsense” Briar humphed. “If I could just ask directly, why would I tell your I need 0.02 ounce of Tr2 virus blocking meds. The base can’t know it for me, you have to help me.”
If it were someone else, it might be fine, but if the Supervision Department wanted meds that were still in development from the insinute, the Institute would definitely track the subsequent use.
That would bring a lot of trouble.
Atticus thought carefully for a moment before replying, “Alright, when do you need it?”
Tomorrow afternoon.
“What?” Atticus paused. “For such a small amount, chartering a tight from the justitute to Limond–the shipping fee is pretty steep.”

“Con’t trace it.” Enzo turned the computer screen towards Cyrus. Look. I’ve ploned her travel routes. She’s young but has been to a lot of places, from the Arctic Circle to the Antarctic Circle
“The whole world’s almost not enough for her to hop around. Who knows where she connected with the International Medical Research Institute!”
The computer screen displayed a world map with dense red arrows marking Briar’s travel routes over the years, along with place name annotations.
The authenticity of this travel map was actually questionable
But it was certain that she spent most of the year flying all over the world, which was
very
odd.
Enzo glanced at Cyrus and asked, “Cyrus, do we keep digging?”
“Forget it” Cyrus shook his head. “She’s in the Supervision Department now. There’ll be plenty of opportunities later”
As soon as he finished, Cyrus’s phone buzzed.
He glanced down, and his brows furrowed slightly.
Seeing this, Enzo was extremely curious and leaned over to peek at Cyrus’s phone screen. “Holly crap! What on earth costs half a million in shipping fees?!”

The next four clays were spent at a special training base in the northern suburbs of Limond, undergoing military–style training
On the second day of the boot camp. Briar arrived at the training base early with a few girls from her dorm.
Mae sneaked up to Briar while the instructor wasn’t around, whispering, “Briar, I heard Imani came today”
“I know,” Briar replied.
“Huh? How did you know? only heard it from the performing arts department, Mae asked.
Briar shrugged and pointed towards the stands. There she is”
Mae and Rhea, who had been silent, looked over to see a girl seated in the front row of the audience section. She was wearing a long white dress and holding a lace parasol over her head.
Imani’s dress up today gave off a fragile princess vibe
Seeing her. Mae scratched her nose. “Right, she’s not well and has depression”
“How could such a delicate, depressed princess take on an exhausting boot camp with us? she said inwardly.
